Controversy

In 2013, he got a tattoo of verses from Gurbani inked on his forearm. This angered many including the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC), which filed a complaint against the actress.   • Since childhood, Neeru dreamed of becoming an actress. He grew up watching Bollywood movies and decided to become an actor.
  • Before coming to India, she participated in a Canadian Indian beauty pageant because she heard that the winner would get a chance to go to Mumbai. He came second in the competition, but, by then, his father had already agreed to send him to Mumbai.
  • Initially, her parents opposed Neeru’s desire to become an actress; because they want him to be a doctor.
  • His father respected his decision and fully supported him. At the age of 19, he came to Mumbai to give an audition. Since then, he has been working in the industry.
