‘Part Of The Problem’
MEGA
follow Radar Online, PETA is not happy with Harris’ latest move to buy a French bulldog from an overseas breeder.
While Harris’ gesture may seem innocent to some, PETA thinks it’s wrong because he could have adopted a dog from one of the nearby animal shelters. They also criticized him for promoting the dog breeder, which they described as “irresponsible.”
“At a time when animal shelters were in crisis, Neil Patrick Harris chose to turn his back on homeless animals in the US and instead pay thousands to fly purebred puppies from breeders overseas,” a representative of the animal rights group told the publication on Thursday.
The representative continued, “Additionally, he promotes an irresponsible breeder who glorifies dogs with respiratory problems who are destined to suffer for life. Good luck, Neil’ Part of the Problem’ Harris.”
She Shares Clip About Dog’s Arrival
It happened after the 50-year-old shared a video of his canine being brought onto a plane to his home in New York City. The video also includes a monologue from Harris in which he announces the dog’s arrival, as well as scenes that capture the dog playing with his new family and canine friends.
The French bulldog joins the trio of dogs, Spike, Ella, and Gidget, previously owned by Harris and her partner, David Burtka.
“Meet Chunk. We are smitten with this stunning French Bulldog. Except for peeing all over the place. And gnaws at everything. And sibling rivalry. But on the other hand, she is the perfect addition to our family,” Harris captioned the clip.
Meanwhile, the actor tagged Chunk’s Hungarian breeder, TomKings Puppies, in the post. He also disabled the comment section. Although it is not clear why he did so, it may have been a strategic move to prevent possible negative comments.
