NeNe Leakes is thrilled to have her son back! The reality star’s son Brentt made headlines last week after he suffered a serious stroke and heart attack that left him in hospital.
Now it looks like the 23-year-old is back home and in good spirits, and the proud mom can’t help but turn it on!
NeNe Leakes Is ‘Partying’ For Son Brentt
On Thursday, Leakes took to her Instagram Story to share some photos from her lounge, The Linnethia Lounge, where the party was hosted for her beloved son. The picture showed Brentt looking fit and energetic as he posed in front of the establishment as people lined up to get inside.

The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star mini rocked a casual look consisting of a white polo and skinny jeans paired with white sneakers and a black backwards baseball cap. She smiled brightly for the camera in the image captioned, “We’re partying for Brent tonight @kingbrentt.”
In a subsequent post, Leakes gave fans a glimpse of how buzzing her lounge was that night, with music blaring from the speakers and many guests wearing white ensembles as if following the theme.
Brentt reposted his mom’s Instagram Story on his Story along with other photos from fans and friends who were excited for his comeback. It was heartwarming for the “Glee” alum as she talked about how the lounge is a business she co-owns with her son, but given her health concerns, she’s thinking of selling it.
Leakes Son Hospitalized After Suffering Stroke At 23
On October 10, reports emerged that Brentt had suffered a heart attack and stroke earlier in the month while he was in Atlanta. According to sources, the OG housewife’s only son was in the hospital for several days before he was released to continue his recovery.

The leaker, in an Instagram Story update, confirmed the news and updated fans on his son’s health condition. As The Blast reported, the 54-year-old held back tears as he spoke about his ancestry.
“Two weeks ago today, Brentt suffered congestive heart failure and a stroke. He’s only 23, so he’s very young for something like that to happen to him,” Leakes said in a video recorded in the car.
Explaining what could have gone wrong, the mother of one said, “The first thing many doctors think of when someone that age comes in with a condition like that is that they may have taken drugs or some serious infection, maybe HIV or some kind of infection. Brentt didn’t drink or do drugs… they even tested him for HIV. They thought that maybe he had been infected with COVID, and he didn’t know that he had COVID. They did see some things like that happen if they caught the Delta variant.”
The television personality stated that the whole experience was “very scary” because the doctors could not figure out what was causing it and, as a result, could not treat it. Holding back tears, Leakes said, “I don’t want to go into detail about what happened… how I found out and how he was. Obviously, a stroke is a very serious matter. He struggles with speaking. I do not know. I just know that… keep us in your prayers.”
She, however, assured her fans that Brentt was doing her best and even FaceTimed her in the morning. Leakes shared that she suspected her son had some sort of childhood heart disease that had just manifested itself in her old age.
Leakes also stated that in September, his son was very stressed because it was the one-year anniversary of his father Gregg Leakes’ passing.
“He is very close to his father and he is very stressed about it. I don’t know if that has anything to do with it at all. I actually asked the doctors questions like that and they seemed to think that that’s not the case with Brentt,” the star said.
Leakes asked her fans to send her love and prayers during this difficult time. As for what kind of gift to send her, the reality star said she prefers balloons to flowers. Since the update earlier this week, Leakes hasn’t shared any more details on the topic, but it’s great to see Brentt succeed.
