The ‘Friends’ actor was just 54 years old when he was found dead at his home in his jacuzzi. Before relaxing in the hot tub, Perry was seen outside, even playing pickleball, one of her favorite activities, for about an hour.

Two weeks after Perry’s death, the ‘Friends’ actress was reportedly exhausted in the days leading up to her death.
“[His partner] said he was exhausted [that day] and over the past week. Fewer than usual. He played for an hour and then went home,” said Billy Bush, a friend of the late actor.
This suggests that there may have been something medical going on that went undiagnosed, which led to exhaustion and possibly the incident that took place in the hot tub, although the autopsy report and toxicology report should be able to answer more questions about the sudden death of the late actor.
Prescription anti-depressant and anti-anxiety drugs were found at the scene, as well as prescription COPD drugs — drugs for chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, usually used for people with emphysema or chronic bronchitis. No illegal drugs were found at the scene.

The person who found Perry in the hot tub tried to pull his head above the water and was able to get him to rest on the side before emergency personnel arrived on the scene. Unfortunately, it was too late.
“An observer has brought [Matthew’s] head above the water and brought it to the side [of the hot tub], then firefighters pulled him out of the water,” said LAFD spokesman Nicholas Prange. “A quick medical assessment, unfortunately, revealed the man was deceased prior to the arrival of first responders.”
Perry’s death certificate was just released a few days ago, which lists the actor’s cause of death as ‘delayed’, pending further investigation and toxicology reports.

Police officers initially believed they were attending a possible “water rescue” at Matthew Perry’s Pacific Palisades home after a call came in at 4:07 pm PST on October 28. However, when they arrived, they found him unresponsive.
Before his unexpected death, ‘Friends’ star Matthew Perry released a raw memoir, in which he opened up about his entire life, including his mental health and addiction. In the memoir, there are passages that may scream for help.
“My mind wanted to kill me, and I knew it,” Perry said in his memoir. “I was always filled with a lurking loneliness, a longing, clinging to the notion that something outside myself would fix me. But I have everything the outside has to offer.”
Although the cause of death is still under investigation, it is believed that Perry drowned after being found unresponsive in his hot tub. An autopsy and toxicology report are expected to answer more questions about the exact cause of her death, but police did a preliminary investigation of Perry’s home, and all they found were prescription anti-depressants and anti-anxiety drugs — no illegal narcotics were found at the scene.
