New Hampshire man who lived in the woods found guilty of killing elderly couple

A New Hampshire man, who lives in the woods, has been found guilty of killing an elderly couple during their hike.

Logan Clegg, 27, was convicted Monday of four counts of second-degree murder, four counts of tampering with physical evidence, and one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to reports.

Stephen and Djeswende “Wendy” Reid were walking on a trail near their home in Concord on April 18, 2022, when Clegg shot them, according to Court TV.

Police found the couple’s bodies covered with leaves and sticks in the forest.

Witnesses said they saw a suspicious man in the driveway and had heard gunshots, with others saying they saw Clegg carrying grocery bags, according to the store.

Clegg was found living in a tent near the Reids’ home and he told officers his name was Arthur Kelly.

After discovering his true identity, law enforcement discovered he had a long criminal history in Utah, according to Court TV.

Clegg left a bottle of Code Red Mountain Dew at the campsite. Authorities searched several stores in the city that sold the red version of the drink to use surveillance footage to find the culprit.

Clegg also worked at McDonald’s in Concord in 2021 after years of traveling to France, Portugal, Germany and Iceland.

He has a one-way ticket booked from New York to Berlin on Oct 14. 2022, but he never made it because he was detained in Vermont. Police found him with a fake passport and gun, according to WPTV.
