New pro-Trump ad evokes migrant beating of NYPD cops: ‘Biden’s Middle Finger’

A super PAC supporting former President Donald Trump has dropped a new ad blaming President Biden for last month’s beating of two New York Police Department officers by a group of immigrants.

In the spot, titled “Joe Biden’s Middle Finger,” the Make America Great Again, Inc. PAC highlighted Biden’s pledge to reverse Trump’s hardline immigration policies and blamed him for the border crisis.

“Joe Biden’s open border policy is a middle finger to every law-abiding American. He had the power to stop the invasion but he did nothing,” spokesman Alex Pfeiffer told The Post.

Four of the immigrants who were filmed beating the officer were later released without bail before skipping town. Another immigrant accused in the attack greeted the media covering his trial by flipping two birds when he was released.

Maga Inc. also highlighted Biden’s decision to overturn Trump’s “Stay in Mexico” policy, which requires asylum seekers to stay south of the border while their claims are played out in court.

Biden, meanwhile, has blamed his predecessor for taking steps to address the border crisis by opposing a $118 billion national security supplemental package released Sunday.

The White House has accused Trump of whipping Republican opposition to a compromise to keep the border crisis an issue ahead of the Nov. 5 election.

“’Will House Republicans say ‘yes’ to more law enforcement like the Border Patrol, whose union supports this bipartisan deal, or will they instead say ‘yes’ to more fentanyl & to Donald Trump’s push for border security delayed?’” White House deputy press secretary Andrew Bates wrote in a recent memo.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) and a host of other Republicans have come out against the bill on the grounds that it does not adequately curb illegal immigration.

Negotiators, including Sen. James Lankford (R-Okla.), who represented the GOP in the talks, have accused critics of misleading the public about provisions in the deal.

The addition allocates $20 billion for the border and creates the authority to automatically turn away immigrants trying to enter the US when crossings exceed an average of 5,000 a day over a seven-day period.

It also established a mechanism aimed at separating and disposing of dubious asylum claims quickly.

Rep. Kyrsten Sinema (I-Ariz.) hailed the provision as an end to “catch and release,” in which immigrants are released from custody to the US to await asylum decisions by an overburdened system.

During the 2023 fiscal year, which ended on September 30, a record-breaking 2.47 million migrant encounters were recorded along the Mexican border, according to US Customs and Border Protection.
