A newly released video from the set of “Rust” shows Alec Baldwin shooting a prop gun and talking to the crew about gun safety — telling someone to stay away from the camera because “I don’t want to shoot at you.”
The video, obtained and published by NBC News on Wednesday, was reportedly shot days before the actor shot and killed cinematographer Halyna Hutchins in October 2021.
The previously unseen footage, about seven minutes in five clips, surfaced a day before a grand jury is scheduled to consider new involuntary manslaughter charges against Baldwin.
One of the videos reportedly shows him lying on the ground and telling someone to move to “the other side of the camera” because “I don’t want to shoot at you.”
In another video, Baldwin asks for a blanket to be placed next to him and he uses it as a landing pad after tossing the gun aside.
The actor was also seen in character shooting a prop gun before he ran out of dummy rounds.

“One more, one more, one more. Quick, quick, let’s reload,” Baldwin said, apparently in an effort to keep the scene moving, according to a video published by NBC News. “We’re supposed to have two guns and they’re both reloading.”
In another video, Baldwin stops the filming of the Western drama to check on the crew’s safety and tells them they must use a safer part of the steep trail. At one point, a cameraman fell and the actor repeatedly asked, “Are you OK?”
According to the report, the video was among dozens of clips presented last month to special prosecutors after it was first requested from Rust Movie Productions LLC in the spring.
It’s unclear how much of the new footage has been reviewed by prosecutors, according to NBC News.
Prosecutor Kari Morrissey declined to comment to the outlet, citing pending grand jury proceedings, when asked which videos her team reviewed and whether any of the videos were used to decide charges.

A source familiar with the case told NBC News the five videos could be presented to a grand jury.
The outlet previously reported that prosecutors are set to re-charge Baldwin with involuntary manslaughter.
Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro, Baldwin’s lawyers with the Quinn Emanuel firm, told The Post last month: “It’s unfortunate that a terrible tragedy has turned into this misguided prosecution. We will answer any charges in court.”

Morrissey and his colleague Jason Lewis dismissed Baldwin’s initial charge of involuntary manslaughter in April because of “new facts” in the case — but they reserved the right to re-charge the actor, writing, “This decision does not absolve Mr. Baldwin of criminal wrongdoing and charges could be filed again.”
Director Joel Souza was also injured in the incident on the set.
Baldwin told ABC News he “doesn’t know” how live bullets got into the ‘Rust’ set, but added he “didn’t pull the trigger” on the Colt .45 revolver.
Investigators who took the prop gun apart found it had worn joints and the trigger control wasn’t working properly, according to NBC.
