John Legend and Chrissy Teigen’s baby Esti just said ‘Dada’ for the first time, which is music to their ears.
The A-list couple share four children, the latest being their son Wren Alexander, who arrived in June this year. The second youngest of their four children has already started chatting with them, and luckily, the “All Of Me” singer was on hand to capture the milestone.

Baby Esti is definitely daddy’s girl because she made ‘Dada’ her first word. The Grammy winner shared a heartwarming clip to his Instagram of him and his wife prompting the toddler to say the word, which he did, before breaking down in tears at his excitement.
In the post, Esti is sitting with her mother, holding her little brother Wren, and another, possibly her grandmother, babbling happily.
Off camera, Legend asked the happy child, “What’s my name?” She responded with a smile, leading Teigen to probe further. Finally, much to her father’s delight, Esti repeated, “Dada.”
“We got it on tape, baby!” the “What You Do To Me” singer exclaimed before excitedly adding, “Caught on tape!” Funny thing is, in the midst of his father’s excitement, the little boy cried.
In the accompanying caption, she wrote, “CHEST! Then I got too excited and scared him ? ?.” Fans of the singer-songwriter couldn’t resist Esti’s cuteness. One admirer wrote:
“Waoooo I think he was just born yesterday, how did he say his first words? I blinked and he was already talking ? ? ? ?.”
“That’s perfect and cute ?,” a second fan replied while another shared, “Oh no!!!! The way his face changed! ? ? Still so cute, even crying!” A fourth fan said, “He’s so cute. Her little rose mouth caught my attention. Each. Single. Time.”
Esti’s big moment came after the father-of-four revealed in February that while Teigen randomly thought of her name, it had a special family connection. In an interview with E! News Correspondent Courtney Lopez, musician “So High” stated that her daughter’s name was not related to anyone at first. Legend explains:
“It wasn’t on purpose to go after someone, but as soon as Chrissy told me the idea, I was like, ‘Oh, my great-grandmother’s name was Esther.’

Aside from her first name, the “Green Light” singer added that her middle name is tied to other family members. She said, “We want to name her middle name Maxine after my grandmother, whose middle name is Maxine. So, a lot of my family is named after her.”

Teigen recently revealed on social media that she and Legend plan to make some changes in the bedroom. He happily points out that he’s not a fan of the idea. On the supermodel’s Instagram Story post, she filmed herself gushing about having to switch sides with her husband in their bed.
The video shows Teigen on a pillow and Legend on the headboard sitting. “Tell me if you think this is acceptable,” the former model said before adding, “After seventeen years of sleeping together, John wants to switch sides.”
The award-winning musician can be heard laughing in the background before he turns the camera to show him laughing. “This is a sideline,” he said. “I’m on the right side now.” To which his wife replied, “I know, but you want me on that side now, and I have slept too well.”
Legend, still amused, added, “My other shoulder needs uh…” but didn’t finish the sentence before his wife narrowed her eyes and ended the clip with “No one cares.”
Adding more nuance to the situation, the 37-year-old media personality wrote in the attached text, “When I sleep on my right side, I sleep for 12 hours which is too much sleep.”
