Nick Cannon Details How He Messed Up Mother’s Day For His Baby Mamas

Nick Cannon, who never hesitates to shower his baby mama with lavish gifts every holiday, took a different route for Mother’s Day this year.

The TV host recently detailed his plans for the unforgettable day, revealing that he chose to make a grand gesture, which unfortunately did not go as planned, much to his dismay.

Nick Cannon Mixes Up His Handwritten Message To His Baby Mama On Mother’s Day

On the latest episode of “The Daily Cannon Show,” Cannon shared how her plans for Mother’s Day went off the rails, which she believes could have been avoided if she had gotten regular gifts. As seen on the comedian’s Instagram feed, the episode was captioned, “I tried my BEST, but #MothersDay didn’t go as planned this year!”

Cannon, who appeared with one of his baby mamas, Abby De La Rosa, said in the clip that he tried his best for Mother’s Day because he believed it would be “really nice” to show his baby mama how he really feels. The entertainer explained that he could decide to buy any fancy gif, but wanted to do “a different route.”

With that, she decided to put her feelings into words using “handwritten messages from the heart,” which De La Rosa says she loves about the show. The “Drumline” actor was then asked how he got the message across, leading him to elaborate on how he messed up.

She said, “So when I’m writing a handwritten message, I’m making cards mixed up,” adding, “So when one baby mama reads a card about how I feel about the other baby mama….” This prompted those on the show, including De La Rosa, to exclaim, “Wowwww.” Afterward, Cannon insisted that if he had just gotten “some generic crap that everyone else got,” the mixup wouldn’t have happened.

Many commentators disagreed with the 42-year-old’s sharing and called out her baby mama Rosa for pretending she wasn’t the recipient of the mixed-up note. One user mocked the disc jockey saying, “Why is Abby acting like she’s not one of those people who got the cards mixed up.”

A second commenter said, “The really crazy thing is he’s talking to a baby mama about it…and she’s sitting there smiling like she’s not hurt.” Another follower noted that De La Rosa pretended to be shocked “like she’s not one of those baby mothers,” while a fourth user said:

“Say ANYTHING to the rating, and Abby will say and agree with anything relevant. I can see why some baby mamas are building boundaries.”

Another follower believed De La Rosa looked ridiculous on the show and was pathetic for always trying to be around the father of her children, even when she talked about her other baby mama.

Another sarcastically wrote, “Apparently, Abby doesn’t [a part] out of the equation because he looks embarrassed!!! Dan said wow…as if he didn’t know….”

However, despite all the drama, Cannon maintains such a harmonious relationship with all of his partners that he has a system that determines whose baby mama’s house he sleeps with.

However, the 42-year-old applauded his critics in the same interview, to which he responded not long ago. He told the Los Angeles Times that he had been “maligned” as a father and heard all the negative remarks that earned him the title of “deadbeat dad”.

Addressing the backlash, Cannon declared, “It’s not about what I do for you or what I say to you; it’s about how you feel when I’m with you. If you feel loved when you see your father, that will resonate.”
