Nick Cannon Goes All Out To Celebrate ‘Forgotten’ Child Onyx’s 1st Birthday In Disneyland

Nick Cannon proved his memory is still intact as he remembered his daughter Onyx Ice Cole Cannon on her first birthday months after forgetting her name.

Earlier in April, the father of twelve who shares Onyx with LaNisha Cole failed to remember him when mentioning all of his other children’s names during a radio show interview.

Now, he’s giving all his attention as he scores one by celebrating with a special treat at the magical Disneyland, which he details on social media.

Nick Cannon Documents His Day With Onyx At Disneyland

On Thursday, September 14, 2022, Nick took his little girl to Disneyland, where they spent quality time, as seen in an entertaining video on the comedian’s Instagram.

The video, which features a text overlay that reads, “Onyx’s First Birthday At Disneyland,” shows the two at the ticket booth before heading to the Minnie Mouse play station.

At the station, Onyx changed into a red and white outfit similar to the cartoon character. He was also seen with his father hanging out with a life-sized version of Mickey Mouse. More scenes then show the couple having fun with Disney princesses, after which the clip ends with multiple shots of the couple with Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

“Today is Onyx’s first birthday & we had a blast at Disneyland!” Nick exclaimed in the caption, tagging the recreation brand and adding multiple birthday-themed emojis.

Many wished the girl a happy birthday in the comments section, including one of the “Drumline” actress’ baby mamas, Abby De La Rosa, who wrote, “Happy birthday to the one and only ONYX ?✨.”

A second fan followed with, “Happy Birthday baby girl….no lie, this kid looks the most like Nick. It was hard to see on his other children, but they came through. ?.”

Likewise, someone declares, “Oh. Em. Gee! Out of a dozen Cannons, he looks the most like you!! Happy birthday beautiful girl!” A fourth comment read, “One of my favorite Cannon babies. I follow Mom too. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ONYX. Always smiling,” while another stated, “Happy Birthday Onyx!! We love you ❤️❤️.”

Nick didn’t stop there with his tribute as he headed to his Story with a throwback photo of himself in the hospital cutting Onyx’s umbilical cord at her birth.

Onyx was also celebrated by her doting mother, who wrote an emotional message on Instagram honoring the little one’s birth. “And just like that, my baby is a year old!! Onyx.. you are the joy of my life. You lit up my life in ways I never imagined,” Cole’s tribute said.

He went on to admit how “surreal” it was to see his baby grow up before showering her with more praise, calling her “the sweetest, funniest and strongest little girl I know.”

Alongside those beautiful words is a video mashup of her and her daughter’s intimate moments since birth, including glimpses of them spending time with loved ones, including her parents and her partner, Brian Paul Kuba.

Kuba also joined in the celebration as he entered the post’s comments section with a heartfelt declaration that read in part, “HAPPY BIRTHDAY ?? to the most beautiful baby in the entire Universe.”

‘Roll Bounce’ Star Skips Daughter, Onyx, When Naming All Her Kids

About five months ago, when Nick forgot Onyx’s name, he appeared on Howard Stern’s radio show where he proudly listed his children’s names from memory. He named them accordingly, starting with his twins with Mariah Carey but getting distracted when mentioning Rise, his son with Brittany Bell.

At that point, Stern told the TV star that he had “missed” a child’s name, but Nick was confused, causing the radio host to point out Onyx.

Although the “America’s Got Talent” host was surprised, he joked about it and stated that he was “in trouble.” Speaking of problems, a month after the interview, Nick was accused of showing fake love to Onyx when sharing photos of the tot.

The images are spa-inspired and show the baby lounging on a gray mini cushion, rocking a white bathrobe with a matching white towel around her head. She then completed her look with tiny Gucci slippers.

Despite how cute the photo appeared, some fans immediately slammed Nick, with one critic insisting, “This isn’t Onyx’s latest photo.” Another opined, “Oh, this is the baby’s name she forgot. Now he wants to send it.”
