If there’s one role that Nick Cannon has practiced a lot and has fully embraced, it’s fatherhood!
Cannon, 42, became a father for the twelfth time a few weeks ago when he welcomed a daughter with model Alyssa Scott. The duo welcomed Halo Marie into the world on December 14.
Cannon’s lavish parentage has been a hot topic in popular culture in recent years and is a situation she has discussed publicly several times.
Despite being nervous about having more children, the proud papa couldn’t look more excited in an Instagram photo commemorating the birth of Halo Marie; Cannon was caught beaming with Scott and their brand new bundle of joy!
Before we dive into the details of Halo Marie’s earthly debut, let’s take a look at some of Cannon’s quotes about parenthood!
Cannon Says She’s ‘Fine Now’ After Giving Birth Last Month
The Blast has extensively covered Cannon’s experiences with parenthood. As of this writing, Cannon shares 12 children with six mothers. He shares 11-year-old twins with ex-wife Mariah Carey. Cannon was married to the “Always Be My Baby” singer from 2008 to 2016.
According to one of our coverage of Cannon’s parenting, she’s welcoming four children in 2022 alone! Cannon openly discussed fathering young children in an interview with Billboard.
In the interview, Cannon revealed she “wouldn’t rule out having more children in the future,” and expressed her satisfaction with the number of children she has given birth to.
“I don’t know man,” he told Billboard. “I don’t know. I think I’m good now!”
Cannon also stated his children are his priority.
“That’s my number one priority, obviously. I wake up as a father thinking about my children, and everything else comes after that,” he added.
Cannon And Scott Welcome Their Second Child Together
Hello Marie hasn’t been on this Earth for a long time at this point, but she’s been spending a lot of time in front of the camera!
Scott, 29, posted a photo of Halo on his Instagram account on Thursday, featuring the cutie curled up on a blanket in front of a bouquet of flowers! “HI BABY!,” Scott captioned the photo, along with Halo’s date of birth and two heart emojis.
Halo’s miraculous birth follows the passing of Scott and Cannon’s son, Zen. The little boy died of cancer when he was only five months old last year.
Scott also shared a video to Instagram on Thursday commemorating the arrival of Halo! The proud mama found a way to include the couple’s late son in the video.
“…Zen was in my every breath,” Scott captioned the video, “I knew his spirit was with us in the room that morning. I know he’s watching us. He shows me signs every day. I will keep this memory forever,” he said painfully. (via People)
The beautiful video captures the exact moment Halo Marie made her earthly debut, including Cannon’s real-time reaction to seeing his newborn daughter for the first time! Scott’s followers were also able to witness Halo being placed on his mother’s chest.
Congratulations to Nick Cannon and Alyssa Scott on their early Christmas present!
