Nicki Minaj’s Husband Kenneth Petty To Serve House Arrest After Viral Video Of Him Threatening Offset

Rapper Nicki Minaj’s husband, Kenneth Petty, will spend the next few months confined to his home.

The ex-convict was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest following a viral video of himself making threats aimed at rapper Offset. It all seems to stem from a long-running feud between Offset’s wife, Cardi B, and Perry’s wife, Minaj.

According to reports, Petty was sentenced to 120 days of house arrest by a California court on Wednesday and required to wear a home monitoring device.

It happened after a viral video of rapper Nicki Minaj’s husband making threats against her music rival, Cardi B’s husband.

Petty’s actions violate the terms of his three-year probation, which begins in July 2022. The probation comes as a result of his failure to register as a sex offender in 2020 when he moved to California with Minaj. At the time, he was also sentenced to a year in prison and a $55,000 fine.

Perry previously served time in prison for the attempted rape of Jennifer Hough. It is now believed that his recent house arrest “will allow for closer monitoring” of his activities, “restricting his movements, providing restrictions on his non-compliance,” per Rolling stone.

Although Petty didn’t actually mention Offset by name in the viral video, viewers quickly made the connection that he was referring to the “Ric Flair Drip” poet.

“We will get you this ****. We know where you are, what’s up? Let’s go. Let’s talk, p**** a** n****,” Petty is seen muttering in the video.

“No one is hiding around here. We are outside. We’re ready, n****. I run this s*** n**** keep playing with me. Let’s play guys, you all want to play? It’s all fun and games until we want to play too…The whole gang can suck ad***…Up North, I’ve got you scared, boy!”

Petty also threatened Offset with a statement that referred to him dying soon. It reads, “You’re going to plan your funeral f****!.”

In response, Offset shared on social media a clip of himself showing he didn’t care about the threats, describing Petty as funny and seemingly embarrassing him.

Minaj and Cardi B have been feuding for a long time, and the two were part of a brawl at a party in September 2018 during New York Fashion Week. A video on social media at the time showed Cardi B moving aggressively towards Minaj and attacking her.

Cardi B later posted on Instagram without mentioning Minaj directly, implying she was provoked by Minaj’s alleged criticism of her skills as a mother. During that time, she and rapper Offset welcomed their first child together, a daughter.

“I’ve let a lot of shit slide! I let you sneak up on me, I let you lie on top of me, I let you try to block my bag, mess with the way I eat,” he said at the time.

“But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, making comments about my ability to take care of my child is when all bets are f***n off!!”
