Jackman portrays the character of Professor Harold Hill, a con man who assumes the guise of a traveling salesman. The role was previously played by Craig Bierko, Van Johnson, and Robert Preston across different productions of the play.

During her appearance in the drama’s revival, Kidman further shocked onlookers when she bid $100,000 to own Jackman’s iconic flat top hat, which she wore for her part.

Footage posted by Jackman on his Instagram page showed Kidman making the bid off-camera, causing viewers to go wild when they found the actress in their midst.
