US Rep. Brandon Williams was “hit” at his New York home on Christmas Day by an unknown prankster, just hours after Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) was also visited by local law enforcement.
“Our house was hit this afternoon. Thank you to the Deputies and Troopers who contacted me prior to arrival,” Williams (R-NY), 56, announced Monday afternoon on X. “They went with homemade cookies and spiced nuts! Merry Christmas Everyone!”
The New York Republican, whose House district includes the cities of Syracuse and Utica, added that US Capitol Police and local officials were investigating who called the false threat that sent five cruisers to his residence.
“Deputies & soldiers are courteous, professional, & prompt. God bless them,” he added.

It is not clear which alleged incident the authorities are responding to. People “hit” others by filing false police reports, usually alleging violence, so that their victims get a surprise visit from heavily armed law enforcement, such as a SWAT team.
A spokesman for Williams did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Armed law enforcement officers were also called to Greene’s home on Monday after a false call was placed on the suicide hotline in which someone claimed to have shot his girlfriend and threatened to kill himself.

Republican of Georgia posted on X that it was “like the 8th time” he had been “hit”.
“My local police are the GREATest and should not have to deal with this,” he wrote.
“I appreciate them very much and my family and I are happy to celebrate the birth of our savior Jesus Christ!”
It is not clear which alleged incident they are responding to. People “beat” others by filing false police reports, usually regarding alleged violence, to force officers to respond with an armed response.
A spokesperson for the Rome Police Department confirmed to The Post “that there was no emergency” and that “the officer’s response was actually canceled en route.”
Greene later revealed he had threatened on social media Dec 21 by a man who told congressmen he would be “shot in the head and skinned for making an ‘umbrella’ referring to [Ed] Gein, who is a psychopathic killer who will make something out of the skin of his victims.”
But the menacing man, whom Greene identified as Ben McLean in the screenshots, was not arrested by either the local police or the Capitol, he was furious.

“They haven’t caught Ben McLean yet. They just got him on the phone and Cap Police sent us this email about what he said,” Greene posted on X.
“The outright rudeness of this email response and the fact that they didn’t arrest this guy is shocking, thankfully I’m a gun owner.”
He also claims law enforcement’s lax response to his alleged “hitman” reveals an “extraordinary double standard” when compared to “the way the FBI and DOJ treated the J6’ers, Pres Trump, and their political enemies.”
The new New York Republican said the US Capitol Police and local police are investigating who called in the false threat that sent five cruisers to his residence.
“And after today, I’ve been hit 8 times but the FBI can’t seem to figure out who’s responsible for the beatings and says the law doesn’t allow them to track them down,” Greene saidadding that “swatting” is “very dangerous” and “a waste of police time and resources and a distraction.”
“The FBI could have done a lot, even abused FISA to spy on hundreds of thousands of Americans, but couldn’t figure out who wanted me killed by a hail of SWAT teams responding to a suicide call that supposedly came from me. .”
He concluded that he would introduce House legislation “to track down the hitters.”
