NYC woman Alana Zeitchik’s two cousins among Israeli hostages freed by Hamas

A New York City woman has revealed two Israeli cousins were among dozens of hostages who were finally freed on Friday – nearly seven weeks after they were held captive by Hamas terrorists.

Alana Zeitchik, 38, took to Instagram to share an image of her relatives – Danielle Alony, 44, and her 5-year-old daughter Amelia – exiting an emergency vehicle after they were released as part of a temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.

“There you are my love. Dani and Amelia. We’re waiting for you!” the delighted Brooklyn resident wrote.

The freed mother-daughter duo were among six Zeitchik cousins taken hostage by Hamas during the Oct. 7 terror attack.

It was unclear if any of Zeitchik’s four other siblings — Sharon and David Cunio and their 3-year-old twins, Emma and Julie — were also released Friday.

Danielle Alony, 44, and her 5-year-old daughter Amelia were among the Israeli hostages released on Friday.

Danielle and her daughter were visiting the Cunio family at their home in Kibbutz Oz in southern Israel when they were all grazed nearly seven weeks ago, according to Zeitchik.

Shortly after Hamas terrorists stormed the region, a social media video appeared that appeared to show the two families in the back of a truck with their captors.

“I could see the back of my cousin’s hair, my cousin’s daughter Ameilia, and David holding one of his twins,” Zeitchik told Pix11 last month when he watched the video.

“I have to believe in my soul that they are alive,” he added at the time.
