Olivia Dunne is Reflecting on her Gymnastics Journey
The NCAA athlete has been dedicated to gymnastics since the tender age of 3, with the sport shaping her entire childhood. The transition to elite gymnastics brings increased pressure and intensity, especially with collective aspirations of Olympic qualification.
Making the US national team roster in 2017 was certainly an honor, but it came with a huge sacrifice, robbing you of a typical teenage experience.
Attended LSU
In the following years, Dunne left professional competition and chose to accept a full-ride scholarship at LSU, allowing him to experience college life while continuing his favorite sport.
Fast forward to today, and at age 21, Dunne holds the honor of being the highest-paid female college athlete in the entire country. Although he may not be involved in international competition, he undeniably left a huge impact, pioneering opportunities for students aiming to capitalize on their name, image and looks.
Growing Up In Competitive Gymnastics
“Growing up in gymnastics, you’re always judged,” Dunne reflected in a touching and engaging video with Vuori Athletics, the activewear brand she’s represented as a longtime ambassador. “Being in the spotlight and seeing you, you feel like you have to be perfect.”

Continuing to promote the company’s BlissBlend line, Dunne emphasized, “Everyone gets moved, so being able to have something that takes you to that moment of bliss and that moment of peace and happiness is important.”
He added, “I always come back to the simple things: connecting with nature and being around the people I love. Perfection is unreal. But finding moments of happiness can be, I just have to look in the right places.”
Shows His Extraordinary Flexibility
In a dynamic Instagram video, Dunne showcases her gymnastic prowess, transitioning seamlessly between leotard-clad sequences and mat exercises, all while wearing a pale purple top and leggings, confirming her status as a bona fide gymnast.
Sporting a two-piece set from Vuori, Dunne waved her arms around to warm up before changing into a tight green tank top and matching shorts. In the close-up, she gives an impressive split and is captured closing her eyes and breathing deeply, completely immersed in her focus training.
Accompanied by choppy footage, including scenes of the New Jersey native swinging on an uneven bar in body armor, Dunne delivered his message: “Everybody’s moved, so to be able to have something that brings you to that moment of happiness and that moment of peace and happiness, is important @vuoriclothing #VuoriPartner.”
‘It Feels Right’
In addition to Vuori, Dunne also acts as the face of various brands, including Nautica, Plantfuel, and American Eagle, and previously represented the clothing brand Forever 21.
“This is my first exclusive brand deal that I’ve ever done, so I’m trying to find a brand to work with that’s authentic to me and that I want to introduce to my audience because they trust me,” said the Gymnast. Forbes his OG sharing.
“I am very excited about this partnership with Vuori. I can’t wait to introduce it to my audience. From the moment I put on my first Vuori sports bra, it was a really good quality material, and I knew it was something I wanted to introduce to my followers because it felt right to me,” she continued.
