He revealed during an interview with the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette in August that he and Dunne crossed paths during their time at LSU through a mutual relationship. The baseball player explained that his best friend was dating Dunne’s roommate, fellow TikTok personality Elena Arenas, which led to their introduction — a classic case of “small world” coincidence.
Skenes mentioned that she and the gymnasts don’t let what’s written about them on social media affect them.
“It’s more difficult for him,” he explained. “I’ve advised him, ‘People are going to talk about you. People are going to talk about me. If it bothers you, if it bothers you, you have to find a way to either avoid seeing it or not let it affect you.’ Personally, I find it easier to avoid seeing it than not to let it bother me.
