The former “Attack of the show” host and “Saturday Night Live” writer began dating in 2021. Later that year, they announced that they were pregnant.

The proud mother who has been looking forward to this important event shared a carousel of photos on Instagram. In the picture, the cute boy is sitting on his father’s lap wearing a white shirt and gray shorts, and on his head is a brown crocheted crown with a “1” on it.

Mulaney, who was holding her son, wore a similar outfit to her son while the “Beyond the Break” actress wore a slit-baring green wrap dress while holding a chocolate cake decorated with elephant trunks and pink ears.
In almost every snap on the carousel, the birthday boy stuffs chocolate cake into his mouth with dedication, getting his shirt dirty in the process.
Alongside an adorable photo of the family, the “Date Night” star gushed about her little one in the caption. She wrote, “Just got back from celebrating ONE YEAR of the happiest baby in the world and in our lives. My son, my joy. Happy Birthday Malcolm Hiep! I really love you.”
Naturally, fans and other celebrities filled the comments with happy birthday wishes for the boy. TV host Jeannie Mai wrote, “Ahhh, happy birthday em oi!” while actress Mindy Kaling said, “Yay, she’s the best!!! and happy one year of being a mother.” Actor Karan Soni also insisted that it was the “right way to eat cake.”

It’s a good thing though, as the proud mom stated in the caption that after this, she started eating the cake. Apparently Malcolm liked the cake after tasting it!
One final upload from the emotional celebration was a video in which Malcolm stammered “I love you.” In the clip, the one-year-old tries to take the cake when he says, “I love you.” The stunning mother-of-one revealed in the caption that it was the first time she had heard him say it.
Most fans in the comments assumed that the boy expressed his love for the cake after trying it for the first time.
