Both actors had relatively minor roles in the final production; however, Kiki makes it clear that she and Stachel play a bigger role than is shown.
Kiki Layne & Ari’el Stachel Cut From Most Of The Movie
Kiki explained that she and Stachel were cut “from most of the movie.”
“The best thing about #DontWorryDarling is that I was lucky enough to meet @arielstachel. They cut us out of most movies, but we thrive in real life. 🙂🙂 Love you Ari ❤️❤️❤️❤️ #GotMyCheck #GotMyMan #EverythingHappensforaReason,” he captioned his social media post.
Ari commented on the post, “My love. You are a queen and your talent shines so brightly. I was thirsty before and I’m thirsty now ❤️❤️❤️.”
Another commented, “Hashtag😂😩.”
“I wonder why I didn’t see you in Venice, BOO!!!” others added.
One fan really stuck with Wilde with this comment, “I’ll add this to the long list of reasons why the movie seems incomplete.”
Stachel also shared a BTS photo with Kiki.
“My favorite part of my experience in Don’t Worry Darling. This lady did an amazing job and I was thirsty the second time I met her. @dontworrydarling #dontworrydarling,” she captioned the photo carousel.
The jab at the production doesn’t stop there.
Another actor from the film commented on Satchel’s post, “THE TENSION WAS THICC lol so great working with both of you!”
Olivia Wilde Called Again!
Stachel also posted a TikTok video of himself dancing to Snoop Dogg’s “Seduction Seduction” before tweeting about his reduced role in the film.
“I can overlook the bad movie, but I can’t overlook the bad movie and make Ari’el Stachel a glorified extra. The man has Tony!!!!give him more than two Olivia Wilde lines!!!!” the tweet was read.
Stachel agreed with that sentiment and captioned the video, “When you end up on the cutting room floor, Go see ‘Don’t worry dear.’”

“OH MY GOD THE SHADE,” wrote another.
Another person replied, “Your (and Kiki’s) lack of airtime is one of the few disappointments. Looking forward to the time when I can see you THRIVE on the big screen ❤️.”
Despite Wilde’s best attempts to squash rumors of a feud, what’s clear is not the coolest dory on set.
During a recent promotional spot on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” he talked about “Spitgate 2022” and Pugh.
At the beginning of the month, ‘Spitgate’ was all the internet could talk about. It comes from a viral clip that appears to show Styles spitting on Pine while taking his seat at the Venice Film Festival.

However, a rep for Pine clarified and said the rumors were all smoke and mirrors.
A Pine representative told Many peoplethe video creates unnecessary drama.
“This is a ridiculous story – a complete fabrication and the result of an outlandish online illusion that is clearly deceptive and allows for foolish speculation,” the statement said. “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did it not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
Styles even joked about it during one of his last shows at Madison Square Garden.
“This is our 10th show at Madison Square Garden, it’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back here,” the British singer told her fans as she opened the show. “I just came to Venice to spit on Chris Pine but never fear, we’re back!”

“Let’s go to another question that you don’t have to answer. People say you clashed with Florence Pugh. Is there anything you want to say about that?” Colbert asked.
“No. The only thing I want to say is another of our strange rumours, ‘Spitgate,’ which you may have heard about…” he said.
One person on Twitter disagreed with Wilde’s answer and accused him of gaslighting.
“To be more specific, he lit the gas. There are many receipts that contradict what he claims, including *his own words*. He keeps mixing up his story. Many female directors are not asked this. Olivia is so deviant,” one person tweeted.
