The actress-turned-director has been at the center of the drama “Don’t Worry Darling” for the past few months, and now she’s addressing the drama and rumors surrounding her breakup with Jason Sudeikis.
The formerly engaged couple got together in 2013 and had two children, Otis (8) and Daisy (5), together before calling it quits in November 2020.

At the time of their breakup, Wilde was working on ‘DWD’ and rumors of a romance between her and Harry Styles were growing.
In January 2021, the couple made their debut as a couple at Styles’ manager’s wedding. The two were filmed walking side by side at the wedding.
A few months later, Sudeikis did an interview with GQand admitted he was completely blindsided by the breakup.
During a July 2021 interview he said, “I’ll have a better understanding of why in a year and a better one in two, and an even greater one in five, and it will go from being, you know, a book of my life to a chapter to a paragraph to lines to words to dashes.”

Of course, the short time between their breakup and Wilde’s relationship with Styles sparked IMMEDIATE cheating speculation.
It has long been rumored that Wilde cheated on Sudeikis with the ‘DWD’ star and now her boyfriend.

Wilde appeared on the October cover Vanity Fair. In the cover issue she opens up about her previous relationships and once again cares about Sudeikis.
“The whole idea that I left Jason for Harry was completely inaccurate,” she told the publication. “Our relationship ended long before I met Harry.”
Wilde suggested there were problems in their relationship for months leading up to 2020.

“Like any relationship that ends, it doesn’t end overnight. “Unfortunately, Jason and I had a very bumpy road, and we officially dissolved the relationship around the start of the pandemic (March 2020),” he said. “We raised two children during confinement, so we co-parented that whole time. When it became clear that cohabitation was no longer beneficial for the children, it became a responsible thing to do no, because we can be better parents as friends living in different houses.”
In an interview with Diversity last month, Wilde explained “there was a reason” why she left her relationship with the “Ted Lasso” star.
He repeated the same sentiment in himself VF interview.
In April, Sudeikis asked for someone to hand over a guardianship letter to Wilde while he was performing on stage at CinemaCon.

“A lot of people are shocked on my behalf,” he said. “Unfortunately, I’m not that surprised. There’s a reason I didn’t stay in the relationship. Unfortunately, that is consistent with my experience of the relationship. So I’m probably least surprised. But I was also deeply saddened by it—and disturbed by it in many ways…. “
Sudeikis claims he didn’t know he was going to be treated publicly, but Wilde has called and continues to call his BS.

“I know it takes tremendous energy [for the server] to enter the room. It takes a lot of forethought. And I will tell you, there are many other ways to do it, “explains Wilde. “I’m not a person who stays in hiding. If the experience is not public, I will not talk about it, because I don’t want my children to know that it happened .Unfortunately, they’ll know it’s happening.”
Wilde’s two young children were among the many reasons why she left Sudeikis.
After realizing that they would be better parents apart from each other, Wilde had open and honest conversations with his children.
“They understand the concept of making decisions to protect yourself and live an authentic and happy life. They really do. I changed a lot between when I was 27 and 35 years old,” he admitted. “I found myself as a director. And I think I found myself as an individual. And sometimes when you grow, you grow out of relationships that are based on an earlier version of yourself.”
