A roller coaster at the Washington State Fair malfunctioned on Sept. 1, leaving passengers stranded midway through the ride until workers at the fair came to manually push the ride.
According to the News Tribune, three fair workers can be seen in harnesses working to push the stuck roller-coaster off the slope it sits on, so that it slides to the finish line.
The incident happened at the Washington State Fair in Puyallup.
Fair spokeswoman Stacy Van Horne told the outlet that all passengers were safely removed from the ride and medically evaluated.
Van Horne said that two ride cars made contact with each other at some point.
The ride reopened on September 3 after undergoing several safety tests, but the cause of the damage is still under investigation.
“All of our rides go through rigorous and multiple tests before we open each day,” Van Horn said.

“This is a trip that will also be closed during rain. So it might look broken, but it’s not.”
Diana Johnson, who was at the fair when the roller coaster malfunctioned, said she noticed workers on the ride trying to push the ride.
“They told me it had crashed into the car in front of them,” Johnson said.
“It looked like they were shocked.”
“[One female passenger] crying because his neck hurt and was so scared,” added Johnson.
