The Prince Of Darkness, Ozzy Osbourne, proved to fans that he was born to perform after being held back on stage with a back brace in August. In a recent interview, the famous singer and TV personality expressed her dedication to her career.
He shared that he wouldn’t have missed his performance for the world, even if he had to be “nailed to a board and on wheels. [stage].” On 8 August 2022, he surprised 30,000 guests with a performance at the Commonwealth Games.

The “Eternal” singer revealed to Many peoplemagazine that the location for the Commonwealth Games was only “a quarter of a mile away” from where he went to school. He then expressed how grateful he was to be in such a position.
“If someone had told me that I would be doing this on the road a few years later, I would never have believed them,” he said. He also expressed how amazing his life was, despite going through a lot of hard times.
Since he began his career in the 1970s, Osbourne has had numerous successful world tours and sales of over 100 million dollars. He is also a double Grammy Award winner and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame with his former band Black Sabbath in 2006.

Osbourne has gone through some serious health challenges in her career. In 2019, he fell in his bathroom and aggravated the injuries he had already suffered from an accident 16 years earlier. He was then taken to the hospital and asked to undergo surgery.

According to him, the surgery was “really messed up.” [him] up,” and since then, he has returned for two more sessions. The latest was in July this year. The metalhead was also diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and now walks with a cane.
Osbourne also struggles to speak like he used to. However, his condition did not stop him from continuing his career.

He also describes his relationship with his audience as “the greatest love affair [his] life.” The star, who grew up with her parents in Birmingham, revealed that she started performing on stage at secondary school. He used to represent his class during school plays.
However, he dropped out of school at the age of 15. He then began singing for several local rock bands before starting his own band, Black Sabbath, with Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward.
In 1970, Black Sabbath released their first album, “Paranoid.” The heavy metal project soon increased their fame in the world of rock music with hits such as “War Pigs” and “Paranoid,” which inspired the album’s name.
His Struggle With Alcohol And Drugs
The “Iron Man” singer also opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol and how they threatened his health. He explained he had only ever been drunk or high before performing, but things changed. “I started to remove the persona from the stage.”

The star revealed that he was “absolutely messed up” and taking more drugs and alcohol than usual. “I don’t care about anything. I’ll drink myself stupid,” he said. Following that, his team at the time fired him for substance abuse. This incident worsened his condition as he drowned his pain in bottles and pills.
He recalled spending several weeks in his hotel room before his friend, Sharon Arden, encouraged him to take a break from drinking and taking drugs. She had met him some time before that when her father, Don Arden, was Black Sabbath’s manager. She also became his wife and new manager and helped him further his career.
A year later, he released his 1980 debut single “Crazy Train,” which went on to become one of Osbourne’s most successful songs today.
