A newly released video shows a group of Palestinian men being handcuffed and stripped by Israeli forces in Gaza as they plead for their release and blame Hamas for the destruction of their homes.
The footage, broadcast on Israel’s Channel 12, depicts more than a dozen men handcuffed and stripped to their underwear surrounded by Israel Defense Forces who have captured northern Gaza, The Times of Israel reported Monday.
One of the men can be heard shouting that his people have lived “under tyranny” for 17 years, apparently referring to the 2006 Hamas elections in Gaza, while reiterating that he and the other detainees are innocent and waiting for Israel to rescue them.
“When you arrive, we stay in our house because we live in peace and love peace!” shouted the man. “If we were guilty of something, we would leave our house and run away, but we stay in our house in peace!
“I swear to God, we are waiting for you to free us from tyranny!” he added.

He went on to talk about the effects of the war on Gaza’s civilians, noting that their families have been starving for too long, with some succumbing to food shortages and others getting sick.
“Our wife has started eating leftovers. Our children are dying in front of our eyes because of hunger,” he said. “No water. I’m sick, and I can’t get any medical treatment.
“You know how things are in Gaza. Everything has turned upside down for us,” the man added.
They blame the famine and destruction in Gaza on the terrorist group that has ruled them since 2006.
When Israeli soldiers filmed the scene asking the Palestinians who is to blame for Gaza being in such a state, the man shouted, “Because of Hamas! Because of Hamas!”
“May God take revenge on Hamas!” shouted the man.
It is unclear whether the men shown in the video are among the more than 100 people arrested in northern Gaza last month who are featured in similar videos and photos of IDF advances in the area.

The IDF has yet to comment on the new video, which was allegedly leaked to Channel 12 by a military source.
