Pardi Fontaine appears to be reiterating breakup rumors with a passionately written tribute to Megan Thee Stallion.

On May 8, the Hip-hop star updated his Instagram page with a video from his spoken word poetry debut at the Da Poetry Lounge event. The black-and-white clip begins with the performer riding in a car to the Greenway Theater in Los Angeles, where an open mic segment is being held.
The opening scene captures a sign announcing the program’s theme as “a celebration of Hip-hop and the spoken word.” Fontaine dressed comfortably for his stage performance, looking dapper in a knitted jacket and black tee tucked into ripped jeans while his hair was styled in cornrows.
On stage, the 33-year-old acknowledged the stunning women in the audience before confessing to the crowd that her poem was about “another beautiful woman.” Although the Newburgh native never mentioned Megan’s name, she spit a bar that looked like a reference to the “Hot Girl Summer” artist.
Kicking off her rhythmic number with a similar message that the Houston beauty used to describe her shoot with Tory Lanez, the media personality’s first verse reads:
“Look, you’re a survivor, but not a victim. Somewhere between God forgive them, and I gotta get it. That’s why you never let these lunatics get you off your beat. You treat these niggas like they buy one get one.”
The poem states that the woman in question is a hard worker who focuses on her career to ensure she is “unhurt”. In search of her purpose, the woman learns that her happiness cannot be bought and strives to reach higher levels despite her fears.
“Your dreams are not big enough if you think about them and don’t get nervous. If you need me, girl, I’m at your service. My pillow is soft but not too soft, but my mattress is perfect,” continued the rapper, as if implying that he will continue to support Megan whenever she wants.
Dropping another bar referencing the shooting of the three-time Grammy winner, the songwriter said: “You want recognition for your bravery, not sympathy. You want to be held tightly and kissed softly. You want to be free to be yourself without penalty.”
Opening up about what the pair’s relationship looks like, Fontaine added: “You want that chemistry. You want to really be heard and not just pretend. You want what you deserve. You want actions to speak louder than words.”
The father of one then spoke, “You want to celebrate without any occasion, dim restaurants, heated conversations. You’re a tequila girl if I’m not mistaken. I pay attention to detail, a little observation.” The 33-year-old also noted that her poetry musings look good in her clothes, but she prefers to take them out of them.
