“A conviction for a third DWI will result in a minimum of two years in prison and a maximum of ten years in prison (not county jail). Even if you are given probation, you will have to serve at least ten days in jail as part of a plea agreement. This usually cannot be waived,” he said again.
According to the filing, Mahomes has officially been charged with a third-degree felony and is awaiting trial.
Before his arrest in 2024, Mahomes was arrested in 2018 for a second drunken driving charge, according to jail records. He served 40 days in jail on weekends from February 2019 to February 2020.
Due to several arrests, Mahomes has several mugshots in the system.
