Patrick Mahomes’ injured ankle has nothing on it!
Although the quarterback looked fit and ready to play against the Philadelphia Eagles during Sunday’s Super Bowl, things changed when he injured his right ankle. The injury turned out to be one of the most remarkable aspects of the game, as Mahomes’ dedicated play led the Kansas City Chiefs to win the Championship, their second win in less than a month.

Almost three weeks after winning the AFC Championship after defeating the Cincinnati Bengals, the Kansas City Chiefs have become Super Bowl Champions for 2023. The victory did not come easily, as Mahomes sprained his right ankle during the second quarter of his team’s game against the team. Eagle.
The injury occurred when opposing quarterback — TJ Edwards — tackled the quarterback with less than two minutes left, again affecting the high ankle he suffered in January.
The 27-year-old limped slowly towards the touchline to nurse his pain with the help of a trainer on hand. He then returned to play to finish the first half and start the second half for the Eagles. He then left the field before halftime and Rihanna’s performance.
When Mahomes returned to the field, he appeared conscious to hide his pain, jogging carefully during the rest of the game. Even so, the quarterback who first injured his ankle during a Jan. 21 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars carried the Chiefs on his back, throwing three touchdowns.
He also completed 21 of 27 passes for 182 yards, with the Chiefs’ offense holding them off the field for much of the playoffs. Not only did Mahomes’ team win the Championship, but he also earned the Most Valuable Player award for his great performance. During a post-game interview, the NFL pro stated:
“I told you all week nothing was going to keep me off that football field. I just want to shout out to my teammates; we challenge each other; need everyone to win this football match. I won’t say dynasty anymore; we’re not done yet!”
Texas Tech Alum Welcomes Second Child With Wife In November 2022
When Patrick isn’t winning on the field, he’s at home loving his second adorable child with his wife, Brittany. The couple, who have been together since 2011, announced last November that they had welcomed another bundle of joy, making them a family of four.
The Blast noted that the announcement came with a photo of a newborn baby dressed in a onesie on top of a blanket bearing the last name, “Mahomes.” Although most of the toddler’s upper body was unrecorded, a Cuban link chain with the engraving “Bronze” also rested on the blanket.

The post captioned the baby’s name — Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, birth date — 11/28/22, and birth weight — 7 pounds 8oz. The comments section was quickly filled with congratulations from loved ones, celebrities and fans, with many already planning a footballing future for him.
“We started in 5 years, Bronze,” wrote Bobby Stroupe, while one fan declared, “Mahomes Bronze, you’re a cowboy.” Several others pointed to the surprising fact that Patrick and Brittany’s child had arrived, given that the latter – and her bump – were seen supporting her man at the Chiefs’ game against the Los Angeles Rams the day before.
The sweet couple initially announced the arrival of their baby boy in a joint Instagram post they shared last May. They’ve been posing with their first child, daughter Sterling Skye, and ultrasound images in several photos, which they captioned, “Round 2!”
The one-year-old held a sign with the words, “Sister’s task … coming soon.” Patrick and Brittany upped the ante by revealing the baby’s gender in June, with a clip showing them shooting blue water from a fountain, revealing it was a boy.
Fortunately, the boy’s arrival didn’t affect their love for their daughter, as they celebrated Sterling’s first birthday. Patrick begins with a note that reads:
“My Ster girl is the ONE! I do not believe. YOU, my sweet girl, deserve the world!! Your dad & I love you more & more every day; we can’t wait to see where life takes you & all the things you will conquer!”
