People Are Not Happy With Bachelor Nation’s Tia Booth Over A Big Parenting Decision

Tia Booth is navigating new motherhood the way she knows best! Unfortunately, the new mama is dealing with those on the internet who think they know best when it comes to parenting decisions.

“The Bachelor” and “Bachelor In Paradise” alumna welcomed her first child with fiancé Taylor Mock. Both boys hit the block on December 6th!

Booth commemorated the birth of his son Tatum with a reel on Instagram, posted the next day. Since Tatum’s birth, Booth has been posting a lot of her son’s early moments to Instagram, and her followers have been generally positive about her new bundle of joy.

However, some of Booth’s Instagram followers weren’t happy with one of her recently revealed child custody decisions, and they sounded off in the comments section of her latest post.

Some Bachelor Country Fans Are Not Happy With Booth For This Reason

Booth has been transparent in sharing his big moments with Bachelor Nation and his followers over the past year. She shared her pregnancy announcement and engagement news by sharing a post on Instagram! She also meticulously documented her pregnancy on the ‘gram too, sharing tons of photos of her bump.

Not every Bachelor Nation fan embraced Booth’s early motherhood experience. According to Us Weekly, Booth received a message from a follower who criticized his decision to hire a night nurse. She will share a screenshot of the DM on her Instagram story on Monday night.

“Not trying to be mean,” the follower wrote, “but having kids is taking responsibility and bonding with your babies in the middle of the night when they wake up. Don’t hire someone to do it for you so you can ‘sleep,” they conclude.

“Like I said, it’s a luxury to have help a few nights a week. Thank you for your opinion,” Booth replied.

He then gave more context to the situation.

“Got 3 more not so friendly. It’s a temporary service that really helps us as first-time parents,” shared Booth. “I have learned a lot from these nurses and will never look back and think and I wish I would have slept less on nights we got help?! I will be a better mom during the day when I can THINK & know my baby is so loved & cared for the night before. I have no family here. So does Taylor. This is our help a few nights a week! A reminder to keep this to myself from now on,” he concluded.

Booth shared a shot of Tatum in the next slide, imploring his followers to “STOP MOM SHAMING”.

She also added in the third slide, “MOM, being a first time mom, will say ‘do what’s best for you and your family’ and then shame you & lose respect for you needing help. We can only be praised when we are tired & doing it all alone?? It’s crazy.”

The Conversation Continues In Booth’s Latest Instagram Post

Some of Booth’s followers did not end up contributing to the conversation.

In the comments section for his latest Instagram post, the discussion heated up as several followers continued to share their thoughts.

“Not followed. The lack of recognition and privilege while complaining about motherhood and having a NIGHT NURSE is so tone deaf. Had he recognized his privilege while discussing the hundreds of thousands of dollars he had put into special items, it would have been different,” said one former follower.

“Honestly, as soon as I saw your Instagram story, my first thought was why are you sharing this?? The amount of negative comments you’ll get,” one follower wrote, “Ignore them but it’s probably best not to share this because it really gives the trolls a sense of entitlement. You guys do what’s best for you,” wrote another follower.

“Don’t let anyone have the power to shame you,” another follower wrote to Booth, “They are speaking from issues within themselves and it represents THEM not you, as a mother. The ‘help’ you get and pay for is what most mothers have with a family member or friend or just dream of getting it,” they added. “Any nee [sic] the mother who said they would [turn] extra sleep is a LIE. You are a GREAT Mom!”

Booth recently returned to the Bachelor Nation podcast “Click Bait” to discuss her experiences so far with new motherhood! The episode is currently airing.
