Pregnant Peta Murgatroyd is getting more candid about her less-than-easy week!
The dancer and her husband, Maksim Chmerkovskiy, are expecting a rainbow baby after experiencing failed IVF procedures and multiple miscarriages. Despite the good news, this second pregnancy has not been easy for the star, and she took to social media to talk about the latest developments.
Peta Murgatroyd Is Having Trouble Getting A Much-Needed Break
The pro Latin dancer is probably excited to welcome her second child and is enjoying the many changes to her body. But some are harder to get used to than others — one of which is the inability to get a good night’s rest.
Although she’s already shared a boy, Shai, with her husband, the second time doesn’t seem to be any easier, judging by her latest Instagram story video. In the first clip, Murgatroyd looks tired, wearing a gray outfit with her hair in a messy bun. He begins the video immediately, stating:
“I haven’t slept well at all, and I’m very tired.”
She stated that while in bed the night before, the baby kicked from 2 am until 6 am before she decided to stop sleeping and wake up. The expectant mother expressed her frustration at having to go to the toilet four times, adding:
“I try to lie on my left side only because my right side, it’s true what they say, my heartburn started immediately like within 60 seconds I had acid go up my throat on the right side. It’s wild.”
In the next video, with the caption, “Haha, I’m really tired this week…??,” she admits that things are more difficult this time because she has a child to take care of.
The 36-year-old noted that small things like cleaning, washing dishes, bending over, and packing lunches tire him. He pointed out that a day had passed without him sitting down, which began to hurt his lower back.
By the third video, it seems like letting go has helped take the weight off her mind as she says, “I guess I just need to realize how much I’m doing.” Murgatroyd mentions that he needs to delegate things to someone else before talking about nausea and drinking coffee.
The entrepreneur stated that she didn’t have any coffee with her eldest son but wasn’t sure she could survive without coffee this time. The last post was a boomerang video that showed the star laying down while writing, “Back on the couch for me… I take your advice and listen to my words…??.”
The challenges, however, did not stop the 36-year-old woman from enjoying her body transformation. The Blast stated that she has been posting videos and pictures of her bump to please her fans.
She shared three pictures of herself wearing a brown top, underwear and an oversized brown coat on her page, showing off her growing bump. In her caption, she wrote, “Feels cute… won’t delete later ??.” Her followers were shocked to see the picture, and some even tried to predict the gender of her baby.
Like this follower who wrote, “You look radiant!!! Thinking baby girl this time!!! ???.” Her sister-in-law, Jenna Johnson, said, “The GLOW ??,” while another said, “You’re so beautiful, wow.” A fourth fan stated, “you look so happy with your cute baby ? congrats to you and Maks.”

The Blast noted that although they kept the post light, their chemistry was clear. They engaged in a rather silly but cute dance around their living room to SZA’s “Low.” In the clip, the pair show off their versatility as the Ukrainian-born twirls the reality TV star and shows off.
