PETA is not talking about Cardi B and her new crocodile Birkin bag.
For her birthday, Offset got his wife, not one, not two, but three new Birkin bags with alligator skin for her birthday, which angered the animal rights organization.

On Friday, PETA Vice President Lisa Lange criticized the couple for buying alligator bags, calling the industry “horrific” and “brutal” that “shocks alligators” and “mutilates” them while they’re still alive.
“Instead of using his wealth and influence for good, Offset chose to pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into a horrific and violent industry that shocks alligators, shoves metal rods into their heads in an attempt to squeeze their brains out, and mutilates them while they’re still alive, ” said Lange in a statement obtained by The Blast.

“PETA reminds everyone that people who still spend their money on cupboards full of dead animal body parts either don’t know or simply don’t care about the extreme cruelty they’re committing—it’s not worth it,” they added.
It remains to be seen if Offset or Cardi B will return the bag now that PETA has spoken out against them, but it seems unlikely. PETA has a long history of calling out celebrities and recently called out pop star Britney Spears for buying, not rescuing, her new puppy.
PETA Calls Britney Spears ‘TOXIC’ For Buying Her New Puppy

In late August, Britney Spears adopted a new puppy just weeks after actor Sam Asghari filed for divorce, pulling the plug on their fourteen-month marriage. “Introducing Snow … a new edition to the family … it’s her world and we just live in it ??♀️ ??♀️ ??♀️ !!!” Britney wrote in the caption of an Instagram video posted at the time.
The next day, a PETA representative released a statement to TMZ, saying: “When influential people buy puppies, puppy mills cheer and animal shelters watch the homeless animal crisis worsen. With this adorable post, Britney Spears has condemned countless dogs in shelters to more days without love, a comfortable bed to snuggle in, or a chance at a real life.

“She could have been a force for good and adopted, but instead she chose to be toxic, and animals will pay with their lives,” they added, including the name of the pop star’s hit single “Toxic” in their statement.

Two months earlier, PETA came after “Saturday Night Live” alum Pete Davidson for buying a dog at a New York City pet store following the death of his longtime canine companion, Henry.
According to TMZ, the “Bupkis” star left PETA’s Senior Vice President of Cruelty Investigations, Daphna Nachminovitch, a profanity-filled voicemail after Daphna told the outlet, “It’s tragic that Pete didn’t find a county-born goat instead of a city animal. take shelter because a brash New Yorker with charm, personality, and unconventional good looks could be the perfect match.”

“As shelters in New York and across the country overflow with homeless animals, PETA urges Pete to show great courage by adopting, not shopping, in the future,” they added.
Although Pete tried to explain that he needed to buy a hypoallergenic breed of dog for his mom because of their allergies, PETA wasn’t buying it. “If Pete had done his research, he would have known that there is no such thing as a hypoallergenic dog, at least a quarter of the dogs in shelters are purebreds, and Petfinder has listings for stray dogs of every breed under the sun, including the one he bought, ” they said in another statement.

“Our hearts go out to the Davidson family for the loss of their dog, but Pete must know in his heart that there is no reason to buy dogs and support the puppy mill industry when there are millions of dogs waiting for loving homes in shelters, and we hope he will do the right thing and adopt next time,” they continued.
“The King of Staten Island” later criticized PETA for making matters worse. “I have never seen my mother and sister cry like that in over 20 years. I try to cheer up my family. I’m already upset that the store filmed me without my permission or acknowledgment,” Pete told the outlet. “Then this organization (PETA) made a public example of us, making our sad situation worse. I’m sad. It’s a bad choice of words. I shouldn’t have said what I said, but I have no regrets for standing up for myself and my family.”
