A sports car owner was lucky to escape unscathed after a large pickup truck somehow landed on the roof of their Corvette in Colorado Monday.
The freak crash happened around 9:30pm at a remote intersection in Thorton, a community just 18 miles north of Denver, said the fire department.
The photo shows a black Chevrolet Silverado balanced on the roof of the bright orange sports car, with one of its front wheels smashed into the driver’s side window.
The scene is reminiscent of a monster truck stunt.

It appeared that the two had driven directly into each other, but the pickup managed to hit the Corvette instead of crashing into it.
First responders had to remove the Silverado’s front right wheel to free the Corvette driver from inside his car.
