In an interview with GQ on September 22, Brosnan talked about some of Craig’s James Bond titles he’s seen in the past and how he came up with them. While he gave positive reviews of “Skyfall,” the former James Bond actor revealed that he’s not “too sure” about “No Time to Die.”

He said, “I saw the last one, and I saw Skyfall. I love Skyfall. I’m not too sure about the last one.” Brosnan praised Craig, who took the James Bond mantle from him, praising the actor for “always putting his heart” into his projects.

Further in GQ interview, “Mamma Mia!” the actor revealed that he does not know who will be chosen as the next James Bond. Brosnan also admitted that he wasn’t too keen on the final outcome. He pointedly said, “Who should do it? I do not care.”

In a somewhat disinterested tone, according to the magazine’s interviewer, the star said that he thought it would be “interesting to see who they get, who the guy is.” Brosnan went on to wish good luck to James Bond who was not identified at the time as the character.

The 69-year-old played James Bond in four films between 1995 and 2002. His film debut as the super spy was “GoldenEye” in 1995, after which he played the role again in “Tomorrow Never Dies” in 1997. Brosnan’s last film as British characters are “The World is Not Enough” and “Die Another Day.”

After Craig announced that “No Time to Die” would be his last film last year, there was a lot of speculation surrounding some of the stars as to who would replace the actor in the franchise. Names like Henry Cavill and Elba, Teller, and Regé-Jean Page were all mentioned.

In June of this year, film producer Barbara Broccoli announced that the next James Bond film would begin filming “at least two years” from now. He also revealed that the studio has yet to start looking for Craig’s replacement mainly “because it’s a re-invention of Bond.”

follow Deadline, Broccoli said, “No one is competing. We are looking for a place to go with him; we talk it through. There’s no script, and we can’t come up with one until we decide how we’re going to approach the next film because, really, it’s a re-invention of Bond. We’re reinventing who he is, and that’s going to take time. I would say that filming is at least two years away.”

‘No Time To Die’ Is Daniel Craig’s Last 007 Movie

Craig began working with the 007 franchise and played James Bond in 2006. The actor’s first film was “Casino Royale” and helped the decades-old franchise usher in a new, absurdist approach.

While explaining his time in the franchise, Craig revealed that he wouldn’t “change it one bit”.

“On a personal note,” said the actor. “I am very, very proud of the work we have done together. I’m humbled and in awe of our accomplishments, the records we’ve broken and the lives we’ve impacted. And even though, at times, I’ve grumbled, complained – even threatened to cut my wrists – I wouldn’t change it one bit.”

Prior to the release of “Spectre” in 2015, Craig reportedly claimed that he would rather “cut my wrists” than reprise the character in the franchise’s fifth film.
