Pink front door sparks viral reaction from Michigan postal worker

The pink front door has sparked a dramatic reaction from local mailmen.

Markie Mullins and her boyfriend Milo Birk live in Detroit, Michigan – and recently transformed the front door of their home into something more “lively”.

Mullins is a 31-year-old astrologer who says he’s wanted to redo doors for some time.

The couple has been working on renovating the house for two years as part of a large project, as SWNS reported.

Mullins, however, said he was surprised when a postman complimented the homeowners while delivering their letter.

“I was at work and saw someone standing at the door longer than usual,” he said.

“I checked the camera and saw [her].”

Mail worker Benethia Williams was caught on doorbell camera saying, “I love this door — it’s such a cute pink.”

Mullins posted the video on TikTok — where it now has more than 70,000 views and 11,000 likes.

Some users commented on their love for the door on the post.

One user wrote, “That’s a cute door.”

“I loved him instantly,” wrote another.

Mullins told SWNS that the neighborhood has been struggling economically lately – and many other local residents are remodeling their homes as well.

“It really makes me smile because my neighborhood has been through so much — everyone is trying to rebuild it,” he said.

Mullins said he and Birk went back and forth on their color choices for the doors.

“I originally wanted pink, but my boyfriend wasn’t sure, so I suggested blue or green instead,” she says.

After suggesting a soft red, Birk chose the pinkest shade Mullins chose.

“She said it looked like a Barbie house,” she said.
