As a Model
After earning a master’s degree in Fashion Design, she moved to Mumbai to find work as a model. In 2009, she participated in the ‘Gladrags Mega Model Manhunt’ and won the ‘Best Body’ title, following this the doors of opportunity opened for her, and she started getting more offers for TV commercials and fashion shows.

She did various fashion shows like ‘Lakme Fashion Week’, ‘Bangalore & Pune Fashion Week’, ‘Indian Bridal Week’, etc. He also got several opportunities to do print shoots.

Besides being a model, Poppy Jabbal has also anchored for many sports shows like ‘Pro Wrestling League Khel Fauladi’ (2015) and ‘Celebrity Cricket League’ (2014-15). He also hosted a Zee UK show called ‘Trendsetters’, which aired more than 500 episodes.
As an Actor
After coming to Mumbai in search of work, Poppy was roped in for an ad shoot involving about 50 people. He recalled in an interview that shooting his first commercial was the hardest thing for him because it took approx. 20 hours of filming the ad and when it was released, Poppy was nowhere to be seen in it. She revealed in an interview that when she auditioned for the role of a pregnant psychiatrist for the web series Broken but Beautiful, she was bloated and had gained up to 6 kilos due to a medical condition. He added that he didn’t do well emotionally so he kept refusing when the casting director told him that his audition had been cleared. He said that it was actress Sridevi’s passing that opened his eyes and he finally agreed to do a web series. He received a lot of praise for Broken but Beautiful S1&2. Some of her other famous web series include Lost & Found and Puncch Beat 2. Apart from the web series, Poppy has also featured in several Punjabi films including ‘Uda Aida’, ‘Mahi NRI’ with Harrdy Sandhu and ‘Welcome Bhua Ji’ with Binnu Dhillon.
