A man who investigators believe may be homeless was charged Friday for his alleged role in a fight on a SEPTA platform in which another man was killed when he was pushed onto the tracks.
Chaz Latone Wearing, 40, was charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with a fight Thursday afternoon in University City, NBC10 reported, citing the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.
Charges are subject to change if additional information becomes known.
The suit currently has bench warrant status for an unrelated strangulation case in Delaware County, the outlet added.
Wearing’s criminal history also includes cases in Clinton and Lycoming counties, public records show.
Disturbing footage of the SEPTA station brawl shows two men — one believed to be Wearing — yelling at each other just inches from the edge of the platform.
The suspect punched the man twice, causing him to fall onto the tracks as the train entered the station.

The use was stopped at the next stop, police explained.
The victim has not been publicly identified.
Philadelphia Police Inspector Kpana Massaquoi told NBC10 the incident “appeared to be some type of physical altercation.”
“We don’t know exactly what happened before that to start this thing, but it’s being investigated at this point,” he said.
Use was arrested at the train station after a fight broke out. The incident occurred on the platform for the Market-Frankford line.
Locals say transit violence has been on the rise in recent years.
“It’s not too surprising,” Jennifer McCray, of Upper Darby, told WPVI about the tragedy.
“It has increased a lot in recent years, especially after the epidemic. I think there could be more police presence to control the crowd and the violence,” he added.
The Philadelphia DA’s office did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment on the case.
