Post Malone has been making jaws drop lately with his dramatic weight loss, and he’s finally talking about it.
The rapper’s weight loss has been a hot topic of conversation, and for good reason, as he lost a significant amount of weight in a short amount of time. The star’s recent revelations come after he previously shot down speculation about illness or addiction, based on his struggles with alcohol.
Post Malone Reveals The Secret To His Dramatic Weight Loss
The 28-year-old revealed the key to her impressive weight loss, which has been the topic of discussion among fans lately. During an appearance on “The Joe Rogan Experience” podcast, the “White Iverson” artist attributed his nearly 60-pound transformation to one significant lifestyle change: eliminating soda from his diet.
The “Beerbongs & Bentleys” rapper candidly stated, “Soda is so bad. It’s so good but so bad.” Although cutting out soda played a role in her remarkable weight loss, the songwriter admits to holding on to guilt. In her words:
“[If] I had a great show, and you know, I felt a little naughty. I’ll have a Coke on ice.”

While the Grammy-nominated artist has openly discussed her pre- and post-transformation weight with the podcast host, the exact timeline of when she decided to modify her diet remains unclear.
The record producer also shared that his weight dropped from 240 pounds to around 185 pounds after he cut back on soda. While supporting Malone’s soft drink decision, Rogan also acknowledged the value of moderation in achieving a balanced approach to weight loss and nutrition.
The 56-year-old emphasized the occasional reward of Coca-Cola, highlighting how the body is not used to such concentrated sugar intake, unlike the natural sugar found in fruit. He jokingly explained that when consuming a sugary drink, the body’s reaction is similar to, “What is this ***?”
Addressing Her Health Concerns
In July, The Blast reported that the father of one had to defend himself again, reiterating that he was never involved with drug paraphernalia. This happened after fans raised concerns about the singer’s condition, observing signs during public appearances that hinted at possible drug use.
Malone chatted with Zane Lowe for an Apple Music interview to set the record straight. Although the discussion initially covered topics such as parenting, social anxiety and his relationship with alcohol, it eventually turned to his drug encounters. Addressing the ongoing matter, the “Psycho” rapper said:
“I mean, first of all, I don’t really have to justify anything to anybody, but I appreciate people’s concerns. But then it’s just like, ‘Hey, I hope he’s okay.’ But then rumors started that I was using hard drugs, which I have never done in my entire life.”

Although not involved in heavy drug use, the “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse” cameo star has openly admitted his dependence on alcohol to fuel his musical creations. He said:
“But now, if I’m drinking and I’m not performing or recording… And yes, that’s another one. I have a really hard time expressing myself through recording if I’m not a little f***ed up. It’s a good place now because if I’m not recording, or I’m not talking to people, or if I’m not performing, I’m really drinking just to have fun.”
Debunking Rumors of Drug Use
In April, during his European tour, the “I Like You” artist faced drug rumors. Malone shared a photo on Instagram that featured him posing next to a pair of combat cowboy boots. The caption reads:
“Hello everyone, I hope you have a great night. I would like to say that I do not use drugs, I have many people asking about my weight loss and I guess, the performance on stage. I really enjoy performing, and have never felt better.”
The guest of the musical “FishCenter Live” revealed that his changed appearance resulted from a significant change in diet. Her motivation behind this change is to ensure a lasting presence for her new born child, who is due in 2022.
Additionally, Malone expressed his desire to eventually quit smoking and drinking, realizing that achieving these goals may take more time.
He delivered a positive message to his fans, sharing, “you make my heart beat. I just wanted to say hello, and hopefully I’ll be posting more here, my brain is in a really rough place, and I’m the happiest I’ve been in a long time.”
