Facts/Trivia
- In one of his interviews, the Aashram actor spoke to the media about how he protected two girls and busted a child-trafficking ring in Mumbai. He remembered a friend approaching him and telling him that two girls in the salon were dressed in an unusual way. Preeti takes action and reaches her destination. After that, there’s a drama where girl power wins and the police are called. Explaining the whole situation, he narrated,
I live close to the saloon where the two girls were taken and prepared to be flown to the US. On March 4 at about 1:30 in the afternoon, a friend of mine told me over the phone that two little girls were in a beauty salon in Versova with some people doing makeup and talking about sending them to the US. The girls look very innocent and unaware of their plight. On getting the information, I rushed to the scene and found the girls about to leave the saloon with two men who were waiting outside. Right outside the saloon there was a car parked that belonged to them. That’s when my suspicions got stronger and I started to confront them. I asked the guys with the girls who hurriedly left the place. The girls told me they were from Gujarat and when I questioned them about their parents, one of the four boys asked me what I was related to them. He told me that the girls were brought to the saloon because they were going to attend a wedding.
He further said,
Before they tried to leave, I stopped them and called the police. When the police arrived at the scene, I narrated the incident to them. The police then took the man to the Versova police station.”
- When asked about her experience auditioning for different opportunities, she recounted,
Someone will say that I am too fair for the role, while someone will say that I am too young/old for it. I have many questions but not answered. Even worse, I was replaced in the movie at the last minute and told that this was because I was prettier than the heroine!”
