Months before they found out they were expecting, Chmerkovskiy shared an update on him and his wife and how they were handling their journey towards growing their family. The Blast shared that the professional dancer revealed:
“We still want a family bigger than ours. We’re still going to keep trying, and we’ll see what happens, regardless of the fact that we’re going to have a bigger family, whether it’s through adoption or whatever it is.”
As we mentioned above, Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy had previously undergone a failed IVF procedure, causing a range of emotions in the couple. Speaking about the incident, the “DWTS” star said it was difficult for him to watch his wife go through the process.
“The difficulty of having a child is not talked about in this case which happens to many women. They deal with it in a very private, blocked, closed way that is very damaging to the psyche,” said the Ukrainian-American, stressing the importance of discussing such experiences openly.
