President Biden stepped out for dinner with his family at a fancy New York City restaurant Sunday as he arrived in the Big Apple ahead of the United Nations General Assembly.
The president, First Lady Jill Biden and their daughter Ashley Biden were seen leaving Tuscan II Cantori Restaurant in Manhattan’s Greenwich Village on Sunday night, according to a photo.
The first family left the White House Sunday afternoon and landed at JFK Airport on Air Force One later that night.
Biden’s journey from the Queens airport to downtown Manhattan created traffic jams along the way as authorities cleared roads to make way for his motorcade.
The city’s Department of Transportation issued a gridlock warning with widespread road closures to warn New Yorkers of the impact of visits by Biden and other national leaders for the annual gathering.

Biden is expected to hold talks with the leaders of Brazil, Israel and Ukraine this weekend and is the only member of the five-nation UN Security Council to attend.
Other council leaders such as Chinese President Xi Jinping, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak skipped the annual gathering, as well as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and United Arab Emirates President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
As Biden networked with other heads of state, he faced a crisis at home when House Speaker Kevin McCarthy ordered an impeachment inquiry into his presidency over his alleged involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s foreign business deals.
