Nothing seems off limits to Harry, and his book reveals a very dark and ugly side of the British monarchy.

Prince Harry Couldn’t Show Emotion After Diana’s Death
He was 12 years old at the time of his mother’s death and was on holiday at Balmoral in Scotland.
On his return to Kensington Palace, Harry explained how he felt guilty shaking hands and smiling with thousands of people mourning the death of Princess Diana.
“I once cried at a funeral, and I explained in detail [‘Spare’] about how strange and how guilty I felt, and I think William felt too, walking outside Kensington Palace,” she said. “You know, 50,000 bouquets of flowers for our mother and there we are shaking hands with people, smiling. I’ve seen the video, haven’t I? I look back on it all.”

He details shaking “all wet hands” and how he can’t understand why so many people have “wet hands.”
“Those are all the tears they’ve wasted,” Harry said. “Everyone thought and felt like they knew our mother, and the two people closest to her, the two people she loved the most, couldn’t show any emotion at that moment.”
He told Anderson Cooper during his interview with “60 Minutes” that he could not believe he had been dead for so long.
Harry Refused To Believe Princess Diana Was Gone
The Duke of Sussex admitted to Bradby that there was much that was “unexplained” about Diana’s death.
“I just refuse to accept that he is gone. Um, part of him wouldn’t do this to us, but also part of, maybe it’s all part of the plan,” he told Cooper.
Prince Harry admitted that he did not “really see the point” of opening another investigation after years of reviewing the case.
He also revealed that he saw horrific pictures from the scene of the accident that claimed his mother’s life. Harry did this to try and understand what was really going on.
“I can’t understand [her death],” he admitted.
Harry said the paparazzi took pictures of him dying instead of helping him.

Before their departure from the royal family in 2020, Prince Harry was “really scared about what was going to happen” to him and wife Meghan Markle.
The couple moved from the UK and planted their roots in Montecito, California.
They welcomed their first child, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, in 2019, before they gave up their royal titles.

In 2021, they welcomed their second child, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.
In addition to opening up about her mother’s death, “Spare” details the physical fights she had with Prince William and her father, King Charles III, who insulted Diana after she gave birth to her.
Despite their royal rift, Harry hopes to one day make amends with his father and brother.
“I want reconciliation but there needs to be accountability first,” he said, claiming he was told by certain members of the royal family that he was “delusional and paranoid.”
