Prince Harry has only revealed that his brother Prince William was angry enough to shout at him after finding out he wanted to step down as a senior Royal official. The second volume of “Harry & Meghan” has just been released, and the couple spoke about the Sandringham Summit that took place after they decided to step back as royals. Harry revealed that after announcing their decision to the family, he was called to a meeting by the late Queen Elizabeth.
The father of two explained that he had sent an email to the three most senior secretaries to hold a meeting to properly analyze the situation, but it was rejected. A day was finally set for the meeting at Sandringham after Markle left for Canada.
Markle said, “Imagine a conversation, a round table discussion about the future of your life. When the stakes are this high. And you, as a mother and a wife and a target, in many ways, are not invited to sit at the table.” Harry claimed the meeting was clearly planned for a day the former actress was not present.

According to Harry, the meeting lasted about 90 minutes, and he was given five choices from the royal family. “I came in with the same proposal that we have made publicly. But when I got there, I was given five options. One being all unchanged, five all out,” Duke recalled.
Harry revealed that he chose the third option, which is basically “half in, half out,” meaning they can keep their careers while serving the Queen. The decision apparently elicited an unexpected reaction from the entire family, one of which was Williams yelling at him.
“It became very clear very quickly that the goal was not for discussion or debate,” Harry said Many people. “It was scary when my brother yelled and screamed at me, and my father said things that weren’t true, and my grandmother quietly sat there and took it all in.”

That was very difficult,” he continued.
The meeting reportedly ended without any concrete plan of action. Harry revealed that they most likely couldn’t see the issues the couple were facing at the time and how being in the institution was causing them to suffer.
The Duke of Sussex also mentioned his current relationship with his brother, Williams, and how the issue has caused a rift between them. “The saddest part is the wedge that’s been created between me and my brother so that he’s now on the institution’s side,” Harry said.
Royal continued, per Many people, “Part of that I get, I understand, right, that’s his legacy. So to some extent, it has been ingrained in him that part of his responsibility is the survival and continuation of this institution.”

After the Sandringham Summit ended, Queen Elizabeth released a statement, revealing that after discussions with members of the royal family, Harry and Meghan had decided to step down. “Today, my family had a very constructive discussion about the future of my grandson and his family,” said the late King.
“My family and I fully support Harry and Meghan’s desire to create a new life as a young family. While we would prefer them to remain full-time working members of the Royal Family, we respect and understand their desire to live a more independent life as a family while remaining a precious part of my family,” he continued.
Queen Elizabeth further revealed that the couple had mentioned that they could do without public funding in their new life and were given a transition period where they spent time in the UK and Canada.
After moving to California, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their final rounds as royals in March 2020. In February 2021, the Palace announced they would not be reclaiming their senior royal roles.
