In the statement, Princess Kate also apologized for the postponement of her upcoming engagement: “The Princess of Wales would like to apologize to all concerned that she has had to postpone her upcoming engagement. He hopes to give back as much as possible, as soon as possible.”
Kate, who shares three children with William, has previously dealt with hyperemesis gravidarum – a condition that causes severe vomiting during pregnancy, but it is not clear if it is related to her recent surgery.

Kate is not the only senior Royal who is currently facing medical problems. According to Buckingham Palace, King Charles III will soon undergo treatment for an “enlarged prostate.”
The statement explained that the 75-year-old monarch’s condition was “benign,” and that he was scheduled for “corrective procedures” next week.
It read: “Like thousands of men every year, the king has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate. His condition is not serious, and he will attend the hospital next week for a corrective procedure. The king’s public engagement will be postponed for a short period of recovery.”
About his upcoming schedule, royal sources informed ET that “Her Majesty has a series of meetings and events planned at Dumfries House tomorrow and Friday, which have now been postponed on doctor’s advice.”
“Guests, including foreign dignitaries and Cabinet members, are supposed to travel, so they need to make people aware of the situation,” the source added.
