Raashul Tandon is an Indian television and film actor, who mostly works in the Indian television industry. He is best known for playing the role of Hassan in the Indian television show Aladdin – Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018).

Raashul Tandon was born on Wednesday, 15 October 1986 (age 36; in 2022) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. His zodiac sign is Libra. He did his primary schooling at Spring Dale School, Lucknow, secondary school at Career Convent College, Lucknow, and intermediate at Dayawati Modi Academy, Meerut. He later attended the National PG College, Lucknow. He holds a B.com degree.
Since childhood, Raashul has been interested in acting. In December 2008, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his profession in acting and enrolled himself in the Anupam Kher acting school. In an interview, he recalled his childhood and said,
Since childhood I was more active in extra curricular activities & had a deep interest in acting, dancing, and elocution. My father always told us to follow our passion, therefore. I did my acting course under veteran actor Anupam Kher’s Actor Prepares.”

On 13 December 2018, he married Manisha Mehrotra. In an interview, Raashul stated that Lucknow Times played a major role in finding his life partner. He said,
Although it was an arranged marriage, my interview published in Lucknow Times helped me find my match. When LT featured Raksha Bandhan on my visit to the city in August last year, Manisha, who is a friend of my sister Nupur, who tied the rakhi with me, read the interview on social media. From that interview, the whole story begins and ends with our engagement. And now we are waiting for the wedding.”
Career
Television
After training for three months at Anupam Kher’s academy, he made his debut in the television show Seven (2010) produced by Yashraj Telefilm. In an interview, he expressed his experience of working in Yashraj productions. He said,
One thing that I consider a huge achievement and a once in a lifetime thing is meeting Yash Chopraji. When he came in front of me, I was shocked. I can’t believe I met ‘The Yash Chopra’. He is like God for an actor like me. Here I am this young man from Lucknow and meeting a legend like Yashji, one of those people we only see on TV or hear about, and here he is right in front of me and talking to me! That’s one thing I will never forget in my life.”
Some of her other Hindi television series are Mahi Way (2010), Pavitra Rishta (2009) and Saam Daam Dand Bhed (2017). He later played the lead role in the TV show Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018). In an interview, while talking about his character in Aladdin Naam Toh Suna Hoga (2018), he said
I watch a lot of fantasy shows, especially watching the body language and tone of negative characters. I’m known for my wit and smile on set, which I stopped completely because I wanted to be in that character all the time. I stopped talking to people and would only step out of my room when I was called to take pictures. It might sound a little weird, but I actually did a photoshoot, where I was all serious and bearded to show my angry face.”
Movie
In 2014, Raashul Tandon debuted with the film Heropanti in which he played the role of an NRI photographer. He later played supporting roles in several other films, such as MAD: Mad About Dance (2014), Poster Boys (2017), and Pink (2016). In an interview, while talking about her role in the movie Pink, she said,
It is the story of a group of young people living in Delhi and I play one of the characters. It was a very important role because I was part of an incident, which decided the course of the film. I auditioned for the role. The casting director, Jogiji, and the team really helped me understand the plot and my character so that I could perform well”.
