Although the “Disobedience” actress admitted that she has never watched “Star Wars,” she revealed that her husband, Daniel Craig, and their 5-year-old daughter have enjoyed a “father-daughter bonding experience” while watching it together.

“Daniel and our daughter have been watching Star Wars,” Weisz said earlier this week. “It was like a father-daughter bonding experience, and they started with the original. My daughter became obsessed. She kept saying, ‘Google this. Google this. What does Darth Vader look like under his mask?'”

“He wanted to know everything, and he was obsessed with mythology,” she said. “I said to him, to his father, ‘I think this is too much for him. It’s too intense.’ So he decided to tell her that Star Wars is broken.”

2015’s “The Force Awakens” kicks off the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The James Bond actor has a small cameo appearance as a Storm Trooper who breaks Rey’s restraints while she is still struggling to accept her Force abilities.

In 2021, Craig revealed that the cameo came about while he was working on 2015’s “Spectre.” Second assistant director Ben Dixon, who worked on both films at the time, helped make the cameo come to fruition.

“I said to Ben, ‘Part for me?’ And he was like, ‘Are you serious?’” Craig told Express at the time. “I was like, ‘Yeah.’ And he goes, ‘I’ll go ask JJ [Abrams].’ And he came back and said, ‘Yes.'”

However, Craig thought that he would only make a quick appearance standing in the background of one of the scenes. “The thing is, I think the Stormtrooper background,” he recalled. “I wanted to do the guy who hits his head with the original — you know, the guy who drops his lightsaber or something. Then I’m in the whole f—ing scene.”

“I was like, ‘Okay!’ And we did that scene and then I just thought they’re going to lock me in, they’re going to put another voice on it, you know. Then I had to spend three hours with JJ in a loop session doing all the dialogue,” he revealed. “Like, ‘Really, you want me to do this? Get someone else to do this!'”

Looks like actress Daisy Ridley isn’t done with the galaxy far, far away. Earlier this month, at the Star Wars Celebration 2023 fan event in London, the 31-year-old actress revealed that she will return to film a new Star Wars movie set fifteen years after the events of 2019’s “The Rise of Skywalker.”

After the event, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy spoke to Entertainment Weekly about the new film and confirmed that it will feature the open-text crawl that the “Star Wars” movies are famous for.

“As we move into future space — this story is about 15 years beyond The Rise of Skywalker — obviously we realize after the war, after the First Order the rise of the New Jedi Order, we left episode 9 with Rey making a commitment to Luke Skywalker that he would rebuild the Jedi Order,” Kennedy said.

“So here we are — we’re ready to do it. And it took a lot of discussion because obviously we’ve been developing stories in different spaces, and television has been a big focus of our attention right now,” he continued. “But there’s still a lot of interest in what happens after The Rise of Skywalker. So we’re excited to do it.”
