Rakhi Sawant was born on 25 November 1978 (age 44 years; in 2022) as Neeru Bheda in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He did his schooling from Goklibai high school, Vile Parle, Mumbai and went to Mithibai College to pursue arts. He belongs to a conservative Hindu Family. Rakhi has always been fascinated by the world of glamor and wants to work in films, but her parents are against her desire to do so. At the age of 10, he worked as a caterer in Tina Ambani’s wedding. Later, when he was 11 years old, Sawant attended a Dandiya event. When her mother finds out that Rakhi is dancing at the Dandiya event, she not only beats her but also cuts her hair. Rakhi Sawant became rebellious because her parents did not approve of her career choice. Soon after, she began approaching producers and showcasing her dancing talent to them, but was rejected. After facing a series of rejections, rakhi chose to undergo cosmetic surgery to improve her looks and appearance.

While talking about his relationship with Rakhi, in an interview, Adil mentioned that he met Rakhi through one of his friends. He claims that Rakhi misled him about her marital status from the very beginning. While they were dating, she asked him about his relationship with Ritesh Singh, and he insisted he was single; however, in February 2022, Rakhi announced that she was filing for divorce from Ritesh. Career
Rakhi made her debut with the film Agnichakra (1997) under the screen name Ruhi Sawant. She later went on to small roles and dance numbers in Joru Ka Ghulam, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke and Jis Desh Mein Ganga Rehta Hai. Rakhi made an entry into the item number song with Bam Bhole Bam Bhole from the movie Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke.
In 2003, Rakhi auditioned for about four times before being shortlisted for her breakthrough item number Mohabbat Hai Mirchi. Sawant also appeared in small roles in films like Masti and Main Hoon Na. After setting foot in Bollywood, Rakhi went on to take roles in Marathi, Kannada, Odia, Tamil and Telugu films.
In 2006, she participated in the first season of the reality show Big Boss and remained among the top four finalists. While in the Big Boss house, he got into a nasty fight with co-contestant Kashmeera Shah. Later, she actively participated in several reality shows such as Nach Baliye 3 and Yeh Hai Jalwa.

- In 2005, her lip-lock with co-star Kainaaz Pervez at the premiere of Khamoshh…Khauff Ki Raat created a huge controversy.
