Randi Weingarten slammed online for question about Jewish prayer: ‘Moron’

American Federation of Teachers (AFT) President Randi Weingarten was slapped with an X community note after asking where the “women” were during an all-male Jewish service.

Weingarten, who said in 2010 he considered himself a “very religious” Jew, cited conservative Jewish commentator Mark Levin’s video footage of a minyan — a quorum of Jewish adults, traditionally male, required for certain religious observances — outside the White House.

“Where are the girls?” Weingarten asked in the post, which has a comment section limited to Weingarten’s followers.

The post got a response from Levin as well as a community note from X.

“Orthodox Jews have practiced gender-segregated prayers for thousands of years,” the note said, citing the Jewish advocacy group Chabad.

“The women are on the other side praying and will not be visible from someone filming in the ‘men’s section,'” he added.

“You despicable fool,” replied Levin.

“Get out of the timeline I’m stupid.”

Weingarten’s post on Tuesday was ignited by other social media users.

“Is this a satirical account controlled by [School Choice Now senior fellow Corey DeAngelis]?” Manhattan constitutional studies director Ilya Shapiro joked.

“His wife is a progressive LGBT-focused rabbi,” writes political commentator Chad Felix Greene.

“This is him trying to embarrass a pro-Israel event.”

“He knew his ideological peers would look down on them and dismiss them as conservatives,” Greene continued.

Randi Weingarten is Jewish & president of the 1.7 million member American Federation of Teachers — she is completely unaware that Orthodox Jewish men & women pray separately.

Daily Wire video reporter Kassy Dillon wrote that Weingarten “turned off the comments because he knew it was a stupid thing to tweet.”

“Randi Weingarten is Jewish [and] president of the 1.7 million member American Federation of Teachers — he was completely unaware that Orthodox Jewish men [and] women pray separately,” Defending Parents Education president Nikki Neily tweeted.

“If you’re wondering why the public education system in America has been in decline for decades…” he added.

The AFT did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.

This is the second time this week that Weingarten has been slammed online for his post.

Weingarten got more than she asked for after she posted an article about the rise of home schooling in America on social media Sunday.

“What’s behind the rise in home schooling,” Weingarten posted on X along with an article of the same title from Axios, which included experts who attributed the rise to children in need of special services and the epidemic.

Some X users, however, blame Weingarten and the AFT-driven agenda in education.

Colin Wright, an evolutionary biologist, shared an image of the gender ideology instruction being used in public schools across the country.

He said, “I have identified the suspect. Although according to them the suspects should be able to identify themselves.

AFT previously promoted the use of pronoun cards that included questions about whether the student wanted their parents to know about their pronouns.
