Rapper Yo Gotti’s brother, Anthony ‘Big Jook’ Mims, killed in shooting outside Memphis restaurant

The younger brother of rapper Yo Gotti “Big Jook” was killed in a shooting outside a Memphis restaurant on Saturday in what police are calling a targeted attack, according to multiple reports.

Memphis police were placed on hold regarding a report of a shooting outside Perignons Restaurant & Event Center around 4:15 pm where two men were shot.

One victim, Anthony “Big Jook” Mims, was rushed to St. Francis, where he was pronounced dead, according to Fox 13.

A second individual was taken to the same hospital in a private car, before being taken to Regional One Health in Memphis in critical condition.

Memphis Police Deputy Chief Paul Wright said the two victims were at the restaurant for dinner.

According to TMZ, Mims, the brother of the “I Am” rapper, had attended a funeral for a relative in the area earlier in the day.

Police have not been able to make contact with the rapper while the investigation is still in its early stages.

Big Jook’s Instagram page advertises his brother’s record label, CMG the Label, also known as Collective Media Group, and has appeared in several music videos released by the label, but mostly related to the business side.
