Raven-Symoné Talks Experiences With Psychic Visions Like Her ‘That’s So Raven’ Character

Raven-Symoné Pearman-Maday has visions like her on-screen character!

For more than three years, the actress starred as Raven Baxter, a teenage girl whose psychic sight gets her into trouble with loved ones on the popular teen sitcom, “That’s So Raven,” before it was axed in 2007.

She later reprized the role when the show was reborn as “Raven’s House” in 2017. The multi-talented star has now revealed that she possesses certain psychic abilities, which may explain why she is so good at playing the character.

On Sunday’s July 23 episode of “The Best Podcast Ever” with his wife Miranda, Raven admitted that she shares some similarities with her character from “That’s So Raven.” Kicking off the conversation, the 37-year-old Disney star expressed her unwavering belief in psychic powers, saying:

“I believe in psychics, the pun intended by the king. I really believe. I believe humans have the ability in their brains to tap into energy fields that allow truth to connect when you know how to translate it correctly. I can go into a room, and it reads energy and energy on the psychic plane because it’s not on the physical, material plane.”

Although she admits she can’t see the future directly, the “College Road Trip” star described experiencing moments of déjà vu since she was seven years old, thanks to her “spirit guides” helping her. In his words:

“I have moments where I’ll just stare, and I’ll see a scene that’s happening to me, or that’s going to happen to me in another dimension, and I’m like, ‘Yo, this is weird.’ There will be times when I will walk, and I will not stumble over anything.”

As for her spirit guides, Raven explained that she connected with them through “shared trauma,” with meditation playing a key role in allowing them to offer help that remains meaningful to this day.

Although she is confident in her psychic experiences, the “Zenon: Girl of the 21st Century” star admits to maintaining a healthy dose of skepticism, remaining careful not to buy into claims of supernatural powers made by others, including fortune tellers.

“Now if you sat me down and somebody said, ‘Look into my crystal ball,’ I’d be like, ‘Give me my money back.’ But I believe there is a natural aura that holds the experience of all of us in total,” he shared.

Before June was over, Raven, along with his wife, took to Instagram to announce that they were starting a podcast together. The Blast stated that she was wearing a green long-sleeved shirt, baggy blue pants, and a green-yellow head warmer, while Miranda was wearing pink glasses with black frames, gray pants, and a black long-sleeved shirt.

The “Cory in the House” actor started the conversation by explaining that his plans to host an Instagram Live event fell through because he got the “sniffles.”

“We want to tell you something,” Raven said before her partner interrupted, saying, “We have an announcement. We’re having a podcast.” The actress later revealed that they have teamed up with iHeart Radio to create “a podcast called ‘The Best Podcast Ever with Raven & Miranda,'” which is “so much fun.”

After agreeing with the “Kim Possible” voice actress that the podcast is “very exciting,” Miranda went on to tell her fans to check her and her wife’s bios for a link where they can watch her trailer.

The couple further detailed that they will have guest appearances, including Jo Siwa, Howie Mendel, Demi Lovato, Adrienne Bailon, Meghan Trainor, Keke Palmer, and Daryl Sabara, among others. Additionally, the podcast will incorporate a unique format from the “Tea Time” segment of their YouTube show, “8 PM.”

The intended format means that the spinning wheel will determine the topics they discuss with their guests. To that end, their producers will spin the wheel to select unexpected words and keep them secret from the host and guests until the right time.

Reacting to the news, one commented, “That’s amazing @ravensymone !!! I’m happy for you both! I was wrong though I thought you two would have a baby.”
