Recording artist, Blueface’s recent shooting in Las Vegas and subsequent arrest was reportedly due to an unappreciated joke at the rapper’s expense. The American rapper, born Johnathan Porter, has had several run-ins with the law over the years and has been taken into police custody numerous times.
In addition to his problems with the law, Blueface has been in a dysfunctional relationship with his longtime girlfriend and fellow artist, Chrisean Rock. The two were caught on video exchanging blows several times, and in August, Rock was arrested. After the fight in Arizona, he was taken into custody on misdemeanor charges of criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Earlier this week, LVMPD arrested Blueface for firing at an unknown person’s vehicle. The rapper and his crew were outside a Las Vegas strip club at the time of the incident and, according to recent news, opened fire on the man after he made a bad joke.

Blueface Shot Man After Bad Joke

TMZ recently reported that Blueface’s altercation outside a Las Vegas strip club stemmed from a bad joke. On October 8, the rapper was caught on camera shooting at a vehicle and injuring its driver outside the Euphoric Gentlemen’s Club in Las Vegas.
The victim allegedly joked about Blueface, saying he was talking to “a couple of women in a cheap vehicle.” The comments apparently angered the rapper and his crew, who later got physical with the truck driver and hit him “multiple times.”
The police revealed that the alleged victim managed to escape and tried to drive away with his truck; however, the rapper’s crew probably suspected that he was “looking for a gun”. This resulted in Blueface firing at the departing car and leaving several bullet holes in the truck and a “bullet graze wound” in the driver.

A few weeks after his shooting in October, Blueface was caught in public with his girlfriend, Rock. Incident clip produced by TMZ showed the rapper in public and apparently unaware of the possible arrest. He was detained by LVMPD officers, who pinned him against a wall before placing him in handcuffs.
The rapper was then taken to a police vehicle by officers. According to the news channel, around six to eight officers made the arrest. When asked why he was arrested, the officer revealed that they were only executing an open warrant for Blueface.
The incident happened around Hughes Center Drive outside of Lo-Lo’s Chicken and Waffles. The officers were reportedly undercover for the operation and in an unmarked car.

Clark County Court representatives reported that the judge had set bail for the rapper at $50,000. Blueface is scheduled to appear in court for the case on January 24. Through the LVMPD, the rapper was charged with multiple serious offenses after the Clark County Detention Center booked him.
These include charges of “attempted murder, use of a deadly weapon, and discharging a gun into an occupied structure.” Blueface was also charged with operating an unregistered vehicle. The police release attached a booking photo of Blueface to the statement, which shows the artist in his usual orange prison garb.
Chrisean Rock, His Old Girlfriend, Stands By His Side
Blueface’s longtime girlfriend, Rock, was present during the rapper’s arrest and recently released a video promising to support him. The artist took to his Instagram story to reveal that he will be with her during Wednesday’s court appearance and claims she will be released soon.
This incident is not the first time Blueface has faced legal problems. In February, the rapper was arrested for possession of a firearm during a routine traffic stop in Hollywood. The firearm was found after he was found to have an expired license plate.
Police officers then searched his vehicle with Blueface’s consent and found a gun in the car’s center console. In 2019, he ran into trouble with the law for a similar gun-related incident. The rapper was accused of carrying an unlicensed firearm, but the charges were dropped in October 2019.
