Recently Canceled ‘Red Table Talk’ Could Possibly Find A New Streaming Outlet

Jada Pinkett Smith’s Facebook Watch series, “Red Table Talk,” is ending after five seasons.

The series is known for serving as an outlet for celebrities to reveal their perspectives through intimate conversations with Smith, his mother, Adrienne ‘Gammy’ Norris, and Smith’s daughter Willow. Famous interviews include a confessional conversation between Smith and her husband, Will. Influencer Olivia Jade appeared at the ‘red table’ for her first interview following the 2019 college admissions scandal.

“Red Table Talk” isn’t the only Facebook Watch series to be canceled. Meta will reportedly focus on “virtual reality experiences” from now on, effectively ending all Facebook Watch series, according to NBC.

Smith, 51, isn’t done with “Red Table Talk.” The actor is already planning the next phase of the show’s legacy; read on to find out what Smith had to say!

The demise of Facebook Watch was a result of Meta’s efforts to cut costs for the company, NBC also reported. Sources at the company did not reveal any additional information, except for confirmation that Facebook Watch is no longer part of the company.

The aforementioned virtual reality experience will reportedly be “accessible across Facebook, Instagram and Messenger.” Virtual reality experiences will also be accessible through Meta Horizon Worlds.

The outlet also reported that Meta’s Head of Development, Mina Lefevre, will be leaving the company following the closure of Facebook Watch. Lefevre has been with the company for six years.
