Reese Witherspoon breaks the silence on the dating rumors that have been swirling around Kevin Costner.
For those of you hoping the two might make it, unfortunately, it has been confirmed that Witherspoon and Costner are not currently dating and that the rumor is “fabricated”.

“This story is completely fabricated and untrue,” the “Legally Blonde” star’s rep stated.
It all started after a podcaster created a poll on X, the social media platform formerly known as Twitter, asking if people would ship the two in the midst of their divorce.

Some fans immediately shipped both when they answered the poll. One user said, “Kevin Costner is dating Reese Witherspoon? What??? You go boy!!! You go girl!!!”

The Oscar-winning actress announced her split from her then-husband in March. Despite their separation, they “have enjoyed many wonderful years together and move forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for all that we have created together.”
Witherspoon then officially filed for divorce from Jim Toth about a week later.

Kevin Costner’s Latest Divorce Battle

On May 2, it was reported that Costner and his wife of 18 years had separated when he filed for divorce.
Following the news, his ex, Christine Baumgartner, claimed Costner broke the news to their children via Zoom.
“After a 24-year relationship, from his hotel room in Las Vegas, Kevin told our three children that we were getting divorced over a 10-minute Zoom call without me present,” she claimed. Adding, “I’m still confused by his motivation for doing this through a very short Zoom session, especially since he plans to be home five days later. He also could have easily returned from Las Vegas to speak in person.”
